How To Market your Amazon book?

Hey guys,

About a month ago I created a book and added it to Amazon just for an experiment. I did absolutely zero marketing and ended up selling a few copies. Now I'm thinking it might be worth doing some marketing and seeing if I might be able to sell a few more copies.

From experience what would you say is the most effective way to Market a book

I don't have a list or Facebook group. I guess I could create a video and use YouTube, or add a book review to my site and use paid traffic.

I'm open to any ideas.

Thanks for your help.

    press releases

Write nice press releases and distribute.

Do this every week and you should get some traction.

Another excellent way is to use the free book promotion from Amazon.

You really should have several books. Each can piggyback on the other. You can run free promos etc and if they like the book when they get to the end they may buy another. So before you go all out promoting...write a few more.

You should go on a book tour. Or... put it up on a site/blog and market it that way.

    1. Get active on social media
    2. Write more books (this should really be #1)
    3. Keep your prices low. This is essential, especially if you don't have the backing of a publisher.
    4. Go on an online book tour and stay one one for as long as you can. This will get you promoted daily on social media, get your book featured on a new blog everyday, and most bloggers share these on their own personal social media places too. It's a win win for getting your name out there and you don't have to spend time marketing the book yourself. Try Fire and Ice Book tours. They are reliable and all my tours posts are always posted.
