Article Marketing Surprise

Hello Warriors,

I have never really believed in article marketing and "wasting" my time until about 2 weeks ago. I was organizing the files in my dropbox folder and came across a couple of articles I wrote some time back and decided to upload them to an article directory. While surfing the net today, I discovered that someone actually used my article on their website AND gave me credit. Not only did they use the article but it was posted on their website the same day I uploaded it to the article directory. WOW! is all I can say. I feel flattered that someone posted the article the same day...word for word. I guess I better get busy and start posting some more articles. I guess article marketing is not dead!

    How much traffic did you get from that site posting your article? That's what matters, not just that a site published your article submitted to an article directory. Scrapers do that all day long.

      I am happy because I realized that article marketing has a potential I never realized. I don't expect a ton of traffic from 1 article posted on 1 site. However, this article was posted on a well known site so it has some added SEO value also.

    Article marketing was never technically dead. The landscape just changed. I still have articles I wrote in 2008 bringing me traffic and sales.

    Article submissions can still be an effective way to generate some traffic traffic and all part of the "mix". Like H Miller, I have old articles (some going back to 2007) which are still viewed regularly still bring in visitors.
