Exit Redirect On Squeeze Pages

What do you think about using an exit redirect on a squeeze page? Do you use it on yours? If so, what kind of page do you redirect the visitor to when they try to leave your squeeze page?

Exits on squeeze pages are awesome, yes, I use them.

I recommend sending to a page that has offers the person can choose to click on, as apposed just going to 1 offer directly.

Why not? What do you have to lose? That person is already exiting your squeeze page, so why not giving them a second chance?

I definitely use them because you an still pickup subscribers from them that weren't interested in your first squeeze page. I always put another squeeze page. I don't do more than 2 exit pops.

I use them not only in my squeeze pages, but in most other parts of my sales funnel. They have increased my revenue by around 40%. The trick is to somehow give them a better offer. Offer them more in exchange for their email address.

I think exit popups are great for your squeezepage. What you could do is offer an extra bonus or report to get more optins for your list.

I don't use exit pages on my squeeze pages. But I do have a peel ad on some of them. The peel ad offers a different optin page for an eCourse.

I do use exit pages for my downsells in my sales funnel

    Best regards,

I don't have much experience with testing my own squeeze page and I don't have any solid data yet however i think I can answer your question on a "Consumer/ Prospect perspective"

First, I usually click on the link on my email usually If I have time and I am looking for something to answer my queries, question on a certain topic. Especially when I'm stucked on something and I am not sure what is the next step. That means when I am redirected to a landing page, I am already interested on what you have to offer.

Second, If I think the Offer is something that will be useful to me then I will Optin to your message. If it is a paid offer then I usually assess if it is really worth my money or it is something really need. If not i will just ignore it and exit the page.

Considering that I am already interested on what you are to offer and sometimes not buying/opting in due to other factors but mostly I am just not willing to exchange my money yet. It is okay for me to be redirected to another options. I like to have other options only if I the page where I was redirected gives me more value.

To me, if you have a funnel and pay for traffic?

An exit pop is an ABSOLUTE must.

If you don't, you're statistically losing money on your investment, period.

    Just my $.02.

PS: As far as what kind of exit pop? It doesn't matter as much as you having one.

I agree. As per my own metrics, you can re-funnel back in around a 10% of the exiting traffic by simply reformatting (or even re-wording) the offer presented in the squeeze page.

Why would you give up on 10% of your traffic?

On my squeeze pages, I use an exit redirect to popup a window to show another squeeze page which the visitor didn't click the submit button. The redirect squeeze page is different in theme or style, and it can capture some of the visitors who didn't subscribe on the first squeeze page.

Yes, you always want to offer those about to leave your site a different type of offer. They are never going to return unless you capture them.

If a user leaves, they are overwhelmed, something else has their attention, the price is too high, your offer is irrelevant to them, etc. On exit hit them with an offer that appeals to a wide demographic with a great promise with minimal commitment. i.e. an email opt-in in exchange for a life changing report etc.

Absolutely! More options and more chance to engaged your audience is never a bad idea.
