A Quick Tip for WordPress Users...

If you ever have the need to send email via WordPress then you should
find this tip useful.

I run quite a few sites and have released various products in
different niches other than just IM. The normal series of events is
that a user purchases or signs up at one of my sites and get's sent an
email via WordPress.

Now normally everything goes smoothly but every so often I get an
email from a client saying that they never received their sign up
information or purchase receipt.

This hasn't really been happening often enough that I was too worried
about it and so I would just manually send them the information.

But as my businesses have grown this has now become something I'd
rather not devote too much time to, so I set about finding a solution.

WordPress › Configure SMTP « WordPress Plugins

If you install and configure the above plugin it will route all
WordPress outgoing mail via an eternal SMTP relay service. This seems
to have stopped the issue and I was able to send the purchase receipt
to the customer that caused me to find a solution - so thanks for
that!

I personally use SendGrid.net but there are a bunch of them out there.
Most offer a free level of account that is more than enough for even
the busiest of sites.

I also use SendGrid for my self-hosted Autoresponder along with a few
others, but that's a story for another post. The software I use is Arp
Reach and I've been very happy with it - but not so much the affiliate
program (more of that debacle in the postscript).

Well I hope the above post helps you and it will help eradicate any
more 'I didn't get my sign up details' - type of emails

Take care

Steve

PS: A note for any Arp Reach reps that come along due to a Google
alert. I've been a user and advocate of your software for most of 2013
and am due a few outstanding commissions. I've emailed you over 10
times to various emails/support tickets/affiliate tickets/PM's at WF
etc. but no response. Please get in touch ASAP and let's sort this out
as it's been going on for almost 10 months.

Rant over... normal scheduled programming will resume
