I have hundreds of articles and product reviews that have not been used. Naturally I want to monetize them, like, today. I have a website where I can put them, but they are of varied niches. I'm sure this has been asked before but how do I start a PLR, what's involved, etc? If I created PLR packs today, would I be able to sell them and make money today?

In other words, please help my uninitiated being understand PLR...

Thanks in advance.

The first thing to consider is what rights you have to all the articles?

Did you create them yourself from scratch? Are they original? Unique? Does anyone else have access to them?

If you are not the author, what permission do you have to use them?

It would be a big mistake to try to sell any of them unless you have the express permission to do so (unless, of course, you already own the copyright.)

    The very best to you,

Did you create them yourself from scratch? Yes I wrote them a few months ago for a client who lost his business after THE UPDATE and so did not need them anymore. I kept them instead.

      Are they original? Absolutely

      Unique? 100% copyscape passed

Does anyone else have access to them? No. I did not send these articles to my ex-client as I did not get paid for them anyway.

If you are not the author, what permission do you have to use them? I am the author...

Yes, you could set up a site, and if done correctly and you know how to drive traffic to it, start making sales within a short period of time.

Every PLR site we have ever created earns money within a couple of days of setup, but we know a lot about how to drive targeted traffic to the sites.

We also set these type of sites up for our clients, but in your case, you have your own original content. You should charge accordingly, but if you want to make a premium on it - and I'm assuming it is top rate stuff you are creating - then you should set a cap on amount sold per article/item, and charge a premium.

But you'll do best having different options of packages and payments to fit different budgets.

Depends on the amount of content that you have... you can take on a few approach...

      1. Compile them into an eBook guide / Course (you will need to work on a good eCover Design) and offer free PLR rights to them. You can offer through WSO or through a normal forum thread and gather feedback on the quality of the content (to see if there's a ready market for your content). Most importantly, you should use this to build up a list and promote to them PLR Offers.

      2. For PLR Article Packs, you can package them into different niches (usually a pack of 10s or 12s for each niche and a price range of $7 to $12.50 for each niche packet) and sell them in limited quantities (this is to promote scarcity and the quality of the content). It's fine to promote and sell different niches in a single site - a lot of successful PLR Vendors like Nicole Dean are doing in this manner.

If this works for you, you can simply rinse and repeat. If you want to improve on it, you can gather feedback from your subscribers and buyers too.

The first thing you're going to have to decide on, is whether you really want to be a PLR content provider, or is it a once off thing (i.e. do you just want to just want to sell the content that you already have).

Your approach may be different depending on whether you want to be a PLR content provider, who adds new PLR content on a regular basis... or whether selling PLR content is a once off thing.

If you do plan on becoming a PLR content provider, then it may be difficult in the beginning. This year alone, quite a few PLR content providers, what have existed for a few years, closed their stores.

    Becoming a PLR Content Provider
If you want to become a PLR content provider, then look at what successful PLR content providers are doing.

Various PLR content providers have eBooks on how to sell PLR content or how to become a PLR content provider. So you may be interested in reading one of those.

    Differentiate Yourself
There's already a lot of established PLR content providers. Now, I'm not saying that it's not worth becoming a PLR content provider. But, what I am saying is that you need to find an angle that differentiates you from others.

Will you only focus on a few niches? Will you focus on a wide range of niches? Are you providing content for a niche that hasn't been covered by other PLR content providers? Are your PLR content packages different? Are your PLR articles longer than normal or shorter than normal? What sort of material is included in the PLR content packages...

Basically, how will you be different from other PLR content providers. You need to give people who buy PLR content, a reason to buy from you instead of another PLR content provider.

If I may ask, why are some PLR content providers closing down stores? I thought the PLR business is thriving, in fact I am in the process of setting up my own PLR store myself. I hope others can enlighten us if there is something aspiring PLR providers like us need to know before we even start.

Being a PLR creator is not an easy gig. It seems like you really need to be a production workhorse, or have a model that allows you to profitably outsource the creation.

Even though it can be lucrative and it is certainly working for yourself, in many ways it looks like creating a job for yourself.

I looked into it for a minute before deciding I just wasn't up for it.

I would guess it wears on one after a while.

Yes, you can sell the articles you have (assuming you have the rights) on your website. There are many PLR sellers who sell PLR on different topics on their site and you don't really need to stick to just one topic/niche.

If you are interested to be a long term PLR provider, you can learn how to do so from the courses by Tiffany Lambert(PLR ATM) and Peggy Baron (Become a PLR Writer).

    Hope this helps
