I stopped selling an started making money .

I have been debating where to post this . I first thought the war room. Then a lot of my list members say a wso.

I decided to post it in the general forum for the fact that this is where I got some of my first ideas to make money in ways other than just affiliate marketing . Here we go.

Hard work will not get you anywhere . Now I know a lot of you were taught (just like me ) from a very early age that if you work harder than the people around you , you will be the most successful.

This could not be further from the whole truth. Online IM gurus tell enchanting yarns of working only two hours a day and making gazzillions doing it . They are not making this up .

How do they do it ?

I am bad to watch late night infomercials. One of the first ones I remember seeing was a real estate guru proclaiming " Make $$$$$ using other people's money".

Now the gurus are applying this same principle with a twist.

Instead of other people's money they are using other people's labor .

Now I am not talking outsourcing , persuasion , or even traditional affiliate marketing .

While they do have a small army of affiliates selling their products, a lot of them are using affiliates in another way .

The tactic they are now using is to get sub affiliates to sign up under them .

I use this tactic with a twist of my own.

I set up a super simple capture page giving away a report on how to make a living by not selling , emailing or even worrying with driving traffic.

The ar sends them to a page with a link to sign up to a free affiliate program and also a link that they can send me via email their affiliate id . Once I get the email I send them the free report that explains how to set up the system I used to get them to sign up , plus a few simple tricks that helps them get their own affiliates , build a list , and be a better affiliate thwmselves.

If you would like to see the process check it out

I first, kind of, worried that people might think that I was tricking them into something . Instead of complaints I started getting emails from people thanking me for helping them make their first dollar online .

The great thing is not only did I help them make a dollar , I made ten cents from their sale . This was done with no sale , email , or traffic driving of my own. I simply gave a report away and started making money . Multiply 1000 sub affiliates making $400 a week ( some a lot more , some less) and take 10% of that going to your pay pal.

This also opens the door for backend sales . People that you have helped make money have no problem buying more of your stuff, as long as it is quality stuff that makes them more money .

This is the third affiliate program I have tried this with. The updated report isn't even ready yet and two days into the new splash page I have over 200 People waiting on the new report .

I am not saying to quit what you are doing now . If you are looking into multiple streams of income , why not let other people's labor make you some money ?

That's a nice way to make some money without working 8 hours a day, but it's not a business. You can't retire on it. Unless you continually work to choose new 2-tier affiliate programs and recruit more sub-affiliates, eventually the money from older programs stops flowing. Most 2-tier programs are in niches where the products don't last more than a year, maybe a few at most, and the affiliates move on to fresher products over time.

None of the richest people in the world are "IM gurus", they're not the people to aspire to. The people that are successful, wealthy AND don't work 8 hours a day have businesses. Even "4-Hour Workweek" Ferris talks about selling real products in his book, he's not some kind of "IM guru" making e-mail lists to sell "backend infoproducts".

But recruiting sub-affiliates is certainly a nice short-term supplement if you can pull it off.

So is selling products with recurring commissions instead of one-offs. I have a couple hundred a month coming in every month from companies I referred to a bank for merchant accounts. I get a percentage of their processing volume every month as a commission, so my commission grows as those businesses grow.

I couldn't agree more , that is why I said to use it as additional streams .

I Did the first run three years ago and because of the program I chose it is still making me money . The second run is two years old and starting to slow down. This run will last at least as long as the first one .

Plus you have to remember I have all of these people on a list and well over 90% have stayed with me because this is a list I never give affiliate links to. I only send them links to my own programs and a lot of free advice .

    Hey Troy.

I have seen this in action with a few products and now seems to be spreading quickly to more and more products. Great post by the way.

Also I forgot to mention the ar series really should offer some great tips on being a super affiliate. If your sub affiliates are not making sales then this does you no good .
