Hello.

Recently started an information site about a certain topic.

The topic is hard to advertise and i cant see it working like that.

The topics i post about are 'mini article' style posts that are direct search key terms.

So my website will be nearly all search engine traffic. My target audience is people buying a certain type of car / looking for information about it.

Its just been a couple of days, but i have started the site (wordpress) got optimising with YOAST SEO, submitted my site to google + the sitemap.

Im just wondering what else i can do now to help with PR? Or shall i just sit it out and wait whilst building up my post content?

Im not asking why im not making hundreds already, simply looking for what steps to take to help my site

Honestly the first thing you should have done was have a plan. If the niche is hard to advertise then why pick it? You got to have a gameplan. It seems you had a good idea, built the site and now are like "ok now what?"

Your PR wont happen overnight so dont even think in that realm. Write good content about your niche. Build up your Social Media power and try to target them if not by the actual niche itself something related to it. But going forward you got to do more research before you jump int anything that you are promoting or wanting to make money from.

Since your topic is about a car, think more visually. People who love cars love photos and videos of cars. Take photos, make videos, find other websites too with photos and videos and become the recognized authority for that car on Pinterest. Of course the whole reason to do that is to inspire visitors and pinners to come to your main website.

Create a bunch of YouTube videos about that particular car, do a review about it and point it back to your site.

Don't get me wrong, I have planned this .

I have also the posts lined up etc and my main audience is people coming from searching.

I am only using amazing images and will be creating a Pinterest account tonight for all my pictures.

I'm not expecting any results overnight don't worry , just wondered if there were any more steps I could take to improve page rank without advertising as such

Just the more technical must do's like the site maps etc, not so much the advertising side of things

Start doing some paid advertising. Eventually you'll make your money back and you can automate more of your business instead of doing and thinking about seo everyday... all day.

You don't mention what you sell or how you make money, I assume you have this covered?

Reason I bring it up is that where and how you go about bringing in traffic also depends on your method of monetization. If you are selling a very high-end product or service then paid ads can be very lucrative.

If you are an affiliate for an Amazon book then you make very little making it more challenging on how to bring in traffic and still make a profit.

Without knowing your ultimate product - Pintrest is definitely a good strategy, starting a blog and communicating directly with your market each day with interesting facts, findings, opinions, etc... will also work very well too not only to get traffic but to engage your market and help them connect with you increasing your ROI
