On Clickbank, is it possible to send traffic directly to the order form?

Please see question in title.

I want to be able to send traffic to peoples order forms with the affiliate ID intact.

This is link to a clickbank order form for a biz-op product - http://4.quickprof1.pay.clickbank.net

But is it possible to embed the affiliate ID so that at the bottom of the page it says [affiliate = affiliate01] or whichever affiliate ID you use?


Does anyone know if this is possible?

Only other thing I've tried was like using a affiliate ID to create the hoplink and then clicking the buy now button, seeing the 'affiliate=affiliate01' at the bottom, and copying that URL, but that doens't work either

    No, you can't do that. It's not possible because when you send trafic to the landing page of that product each visitor get's your cookie so you receive the sale. Sending them DIRECTLY to the checkout page would mean that Clickbank instead of the vendor's website has to generate the cookies.

    If you are so sure about your source of traffic create a product in the same niche and that way you can send traffic directly to the order page . Or talk to the owner of the product to create a separate page for you and make a Clickbank JV Contract.

    If someones knows more about this and there is a solution somehow, I would love to know.

      Please don't tell someone they can't do it, when you don't know what you are talking about. this is done all the time and I shall yell how it is done.

      Click on your affiliate link for the product to take you to the page, so your affiliate cookie is loaded. go to the buy now button in the page source, and collect the PayPal link code. Use that for the code for your buy button code.

      Everyone who clicks your link in the sales page you create will have your affiliate code sent on to the payment page. You can check this by clicking your button and going to the bottom of the page and if you see your affiliate code there, alongside the publisher's code, you have done it right.

          By the way the key missing information in all the suggestions so far is that you must obtain the vendor's permission before linking directly to the order page.

            If they truly don't allow it, they should remove that functionality, don't you agree? it's been happening for years, and it takes less than an hour to fix for any programmer. So, regardless of whether it's specifically displayed on not within Clickbank, the fact that they are aware of it and they don't fix it, clearly implies that they allow it "under the counter".

            It's like buyers buying through their own affiliate link: officially they dont allow it, but they don't condemn it (it's been happening for years without fixing and without punishment)... therefore, officially or not, they effectively do allow it.

    I remember that I ran across how to do this in the past. I make documents of these kinds of things just for times like this.

    I will paste the contents into this response.

    Before posting this I wanted to go test it and I was able to create a link directly to a order page and my affiliate link was at the bottom like usual.

    Here is what I have from that document.......


    A normal Clickbank link looks like this, where the "xxxxx" is replaced with the affiliate link, and the second part "yyyyy" is the name of the merchant:

    http://xxxxx.yyyyy.hop.clickbank.net

    The format for the Clickbank affiliate link is changed to the following so that you bypass the merchant page, and instead take your PPC prospects directly to the order page:

    http://1.xxxxx_yyyyy.pay.clickbank.net
    http://1.yourcbID_MerchantID.pay.clickbank.net
    http://5.chicken_ipodpsp.pay.clickbank.net

    You will go directly to the pay page and your AFF id gets credit.

    To find the merchant id, go to the clickbank marketplace.
    http://www.clickbank.com/marketplace.htm

    Click on the promote button on the product you want to bypass the sales letter.

    On the page that opens to enter your AFF id you will see this in the top bar:
    Affiliate Program: Promote Products for 'ELECHCOM'

    Simply copy the name in the ' '. This is the merchant name for this specific product.

    Then use it to make your direct pay page link.

    Ex:
    http://1.yourcbID_MerchantID.pay.clickbank.net

    http://1.chicken_ELECHCOM.pay.clickbank.net


    IMPORTANT:

    •The product number (usually the 1 but you need to check and see what the merchant is using) hold mouse over buy link on webpage and you will see the number. Ex:

        I maybe wrong..maybe some of the clickbank experts can clarify or shed a light. I believe many clickbank vendors do allow you to go directly to the check out page. However, using this method a cookie is not placed on the buyer's computer. Should the buyer click out of the check out page and come back later, you may lose the sale since the cookie does not exist.

    Wouldn't that be a bad idea? What is preventing some shady marketer from making all sorts of claims with his own landing page and dumping the traffic to an LP? By having your traffic go through ALL the sponsor's pages, you are actually PROTECTING YOURSELF from chargebacks and refunds. This way, the end user has a better chance of making an INFORMED CHOICE.

    1) Yes it can be done as explained in post #3 in this thread, BUT... when you "hot link" to the checkout page there's no cookie injection, thus you will not over-write a previous affiliate's cookie. That means that if the buyer is already cookied from a previous affiliate, your commission will indeed go to that previous affiliate.

    2) I dont understand why Clickbank allows hot-linking, as they're liable for any FTC-upsetting wild claims any unscrupulous affiliate might make on their own "unofficial" sales page. There's no chance in hell I will even allow this for my own affiliate platform.

      My God Anonymous, you are so wrong, I don't know where to begin. The method outlined and then sumarrised in my post prior to yours, passes your payment details directly to the pay out page. As shown by your affiliate ID at the bottom of the payment page.

        No Tim, I'm afraid it's you who's wrong.

        As I explained before, hot-linking does not overwrite cookies because... well, because you're bypassing Clickbank's cookie injection process altogether. That is why it's called "hot linking"

        That means that, when you hot link to the checkout page, your method described in post #3 would work *only if* there's no previous affiliate cookie in the user's browser. If that user has already been cookied by another affiliate, the system will grant the affiliate commission to the previous affiliate, not to you.

        Don't believe me? try it out by yourself and follow these steps: cookie yourself by clicking on a standard Clickbank hoplink from affiliate_1 . Then, follow your method and hotlink yourself to checkout page under affiliate_2 . You will see that it's still affiliate_1 the one to net the commission.

      Exactly. This is just begging for a lawsuit or a fine. Sales have to be made in context. There is no context and lots of opportunities for fraud/wild claims when affiliates are allowed to link directly to the order form.
