Building a List? Try this free method

Hi

Warriors keep asking "how to build a list from scratch" so i here's
what i have been testing last weeks. I know this is not the best way
to build a list - the best is to get a sale + a opt-in.

But since i can't do it that way, here's my technique:

long tail keywords + rewritten PLR articles + free (keyworded) blogs
+ banners for the freebie.

And that's all. You dominate some real long tail keywords,
you get visitors and you drive them to your opt-in offering them
a freebie in that particular niche.

Lets say recipes.

  • coollowcostrecipes free blog
  • PLR rewritten articles + unique content
  • big banner at top advertising free report "top 10 summer recipes"

Then they go to your squeeze page.
I have just a big opt-in box at top with a graphic of the report cover.

This way i have been pulling a good % of opt-ins every single day.
Yesterday in one squeeze page i had a 30+% of opt-ins, that is more
then 20 new subscribers.

So do a small test on this technique and see how it goes.

Fernando

P.S. - Don't forget to split test 2 squeeze pages. It can do wonders.

wow, I'm impressed with 30% opt-ins. Your page must really be optimized. I get a MUCH lower rate, but my signup box isn't prominent on my site.

This is a minimal squeeze page, so visitors go there just to
      grab the free report.

To do so they need to opt-in. No other choices, thus the high %.

The list building problem usually sources from insufficient traffic not "banners". even though positioning / blending ect ect effects % of opt ins.

Combine what he mentioned above with Social Bookmarking and Backlink building... and you can see wonderful results. Especially if you keep an eye open for niches rising in popularity even if temporarily on Google Trends.

Exactly. And don't forget to have a respected presence
where your target visitors hang out.

Since you do not give an example of your website, it is difficult to tell what it is that may need correcting. However, here are some simple tips to get visitors to subscribe.

      • Offer a freebie (it can be a sample product, free membership, a free report or free software that pertains to your business).

      • Drive them to a specific page where the only information is about your freebie, do not use this page as a sales page and do not include any links except the sign up box and button.

      • Promote your opt-in page (commonly called a squeeze page) in all your sites, emails, signature boxes, bookmarks, twitter, etc, etc.

For an example, you can check the free report link in my signature box, and if you would like a free template to start you out, let me know.

      Best of Luck,
      Jon

A capture page should be just that. The only thing you can do from my capture pages is opt in or leave .
