Legitimate Career From Internet Marketing?

Hey guys,

This is my first thread and one of my few posts on this site. Figured the beginning of the New Year would be a fitting time to post this. Anyways I am wondering whether or not Internet Marketing truly is a legitimate career path to pursue. I am currently in my junior year of college and I have had success making money online. More than I make at any part-time job, but I am just now starting to realize just how many opportunities are out there for making money online. I realize that it takes time to build a business online, and I can be an impatient person. However, if I really start working at this now, do you think it is possible to have a roughly $80k-$100k income by the time I graduate in a couple of years?

I have a good head on my shoulders, especially for marketing, and I have ideas that I feel could drive traffic to affiliate sites and the like that I do not see being utilized. I feel I could definitely earn some money there. I am also very interested in importing and I think that would be the area I would like to focus on in the future. Am I just daydreaming here or is this possible? I am willing to work hard at this. I see the benefits of being in control of my own livelihood and being your own boss as too great to not pursue.

So with this being said does anyone have any advice for me going forward? I love the opportunity to learn from others and anything that could possibly help me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for being such an active community and sharing so much valuable information. Its refreshing to have found a place like this.

I have been full time since 2007, I hardly ever do anything and I get paid everyday. You can make as much or as little as you want with this business. there are people making 6 figures there are people making 7 there are people make 8 figures.

It's up to you on how much you want to make and how successful you are with it.

If you treat it like an actual business it can be very rewarding.

There are plenty of people who work 100% online and make a tons of money. I know some making 7 figures a year just doing Internet Marketing. And believe me or not they were totally broke when they first started out. IM is the career that have changed people's life and they are now enjoying freedom and the Internet lifestyle.

So to answer your question it is possible to earn more than 100K a year by just doing Internet Marketing. It will take some time to setup because you will be learning so many things and then testing those out but once you know how to do it will be easy then.

    All the best.

Of course internet marketing is a career like any other profession. With other professions, the opportunities might get limited time by time but with internet marketing the opportunities are endless because of the number of people and number of businesses tending to internet....

Of course it is, since you have already proved and you are making money, so to scale it up wouldn't be impossible task and do it in 2014, don't wait for couple of years.

Since you something good on your shoulders then utilize your marketing skills and put it in action...

Be dedicated and inspired and prove to yourself and to everyone else that you can make it happen.........

I would definitely encourage you to keep going! I wish I had started earlier. Even if you have to take one or two part time jobs while you scale, it's worth it.

I'd also highly suggest you consider writing some short books for Kindle. From your post, I can tell you're a pretty good writer, and that can go a long way. I have found quite a bit of success with Kindle. If you are consistent with it and keep putting out books, you could not only make a lot of money, but passive income.

You NEED to know what you are doing, and that is what takes the longest to reach those goals. There is tons of information and newbies really get confused on where to start. However, once you find a system to use, that is very easily achievable.

Amazon, Ebay, Netflix, Hotels.com, Tripadvisor.com, Google Adsense, etc. All of them are legitimate business right? And they exsists because of Internet Marketing and Internet Marketers. Internet marketing is selling online. It's like selling apples in your local farmers market. The only difference is that, internet marketing is done online through the internet.

Just get started, throw yourself upon the wolves, and learn the hard way. And dont ever quit on a semi-profitable project. A years later it could wind up helping you to retire from working ever again.
