Create a product on how to avoid gambling addiction and sell it. before creating a site you must first decide what to do after you have that site. Or should I say you must have purpose why you want to create that site.

Where's your back end? Once you've cured their gambling addiction how will you make money? Altruism is great but this is a marketing forum. I don't mean to sound curt but you have to have a plan!

There's always AdSense (+ other ad networks) and also direct advertising.

Since you are in the beginning phase of "thinking about" a site, you will want to be sure to do research regarding gambling additions, i.e. how does one know if they have a gambling addiction; how does one Solve the gambling addiction problem, what is the demographic for people who have a gambling addiction so that you can target the correct audience, etc. Look for a product (or create your own) which solves that problem so it can be your method of monetization. Good luck! Hope that helps.

I would probably look to AdSense and Clickbank. AdSense is an easy way to monetize the site from your visitor's very first visit. Another possibility would be Clickbank. I am not sure if there are any products specifically dealing with Gambling Addiction (although I wouldn't be surprised if there were) but I know that there are A TON of products dealing with self improvement, goal setting, dealing with bad habits, addictions, etc.

These two would be a good way to start. Then I would say to make sure you have an Opt-In for an e-newsletter so you can market to your visitors for the long term.

    Good Luck!

Personally I would steer clear of Adsense. Unless you're buying really cheap traffic you'll have to use SEO. And that's going to take a lot of time, or money, only have Google screw the pooch with a new algorithm change. Happened to me with a very lucrative MFA site.

Put a contact form on the site and sell those leads to treatment centers. That will make you a ton more money than will Adsense.

    1) Sell an ebook about gambling addiction

    2) Throw some adsense ads on it

    3) Find affiliate programs for backend products

If you can drive good traffic to this site, adsense can be a better option to make money with, targetted traffic can also help you selling the products related to your niche.

I would avoid any keywords related to gambling, porn when it comes to Adsense.
Adsense is strictly against that kind of content.

I had keywords like "hack", "crack" on my site and they disabled ads on that site.
So you want to be very careful when writing articles for Adsense.

You should be considering are those niches are worth your time at all.
Like someone mentionet above, there's not a lot you can offer them as soon as they buy your addiction ebook.

    Have you done your research?
    How many competitors there are?
    What your competition are doing?
How do they monetizing their sites?
If there aren't that many competition, maybe it's not profitable?
