Am I Getting Knobbed?

The scenario. One of my dating offers had for about 6 months made 10 sales every fortnight. Always 10. Always. I found this bizarre of course but carried on anyway as I could find nothing weird on my site. Then one fortnight this jumped to 27 and then immediately dropped down to ten again the following two pay periods. I Rechecked my site and analytics to see if it someone had hacked me and was siphoning off some sales but couldn't spot anything. I heard about cookie stuffing and asked the dating company to investigate if a particular account is taking the commissions from my referrals.

Has anyone had a similar experience and what did they do? I know it's possible but highly unlikely the dating company (Cougar life) is shafting me so what are the other possibilities. Could just be freakish coincidence but I hate to think some prick could be stealing thousands off me.

Personally, I'd find the consistent 10 sales per 2 weeks for six months more disturbing than a single spike. Things generally aren't that consistent over time.

You might average that number consistently over a period of time, but I'd expect some periods with 7, 8 or 9 sales, as well as periods with 11, 12, etc. Even some zeroes mixed in with spikes like you saw.

Check your server stats. Are those consistent ten sales coming from an equally consistent number of referrals and traffic count? If they are, fine. If the site stats vary, I'd expect the number of referrals and sales to vary as well.

Well I promote a calligraphy related product and my click bank account shows 1 sale per week and this has been going on for about three years now . There have been instances of 2 sales and zero sales per week in a few weeks but those are very less.

In my case this can be attributed to the fact that my traffic site has not seen much fluctuations in terms of traffic.

Not sure if the same holds true for you. However it's too consistent to be natural in your case and worth investigating further.

    Cheers

Cougar Life... love that site. I dont know man, how do you feel about creating your own info-products and marketing them online? I know that affliiate marketing marketing is a nice concept - but selling info products/ebooks can give you more control. Thought about it?

Did your site experience a massive traffic spike during your increased sales?

    Also...

A lot of dating CPA offers shave.

If I were you, I would test this by rotating similar offers, and then compare statistics.

I have been using Clickbank for years and never had a situation where sales were so consistent as you describe. Every two week period was always different . There is definitely something fishy going on in your situation.... I don't think it's a coincidence, but you should definitely investigate further.

The 10 sales every 2 weeks for 6 months is what stuck me as strange here. That just sounds fishy.
