Can you dedicate your effort and Income to one source?

Is it possible for someone to make a lot of money from one income source? Two at the max. Right now my interest is in Adsense and Clickbank because that is something I know a lot about. Other programs are tempting but I feel like it is possible to make a decent income from 1 or 2 sources without signing up to all these different ad networks and affiliate networks. Does anyone here make there income from 1 or 2 major sources?

Yes, and good for you by the way reason I say that is many IM get into the habit of joining everything and trying to do everything which is their downfall. Work with one or two programs and produce results once thats down pat then move on. Adsense I do not know much about other then I spent 2 months hard core work on it for $80 and a clossed account. Not really that great in my opion so I do not use google anymore for that reason. Click bank big money maker you will want to build a list to make money from that and a blog reviewing some of the protucts I think would be best to start out

All of my income? No. The vast majority of it? Yes, if you're smart about your approach, you can make a very good amount of money from one merchant, especially something like ClickBank that stretches out across so many niches.

I'd say probably 75-80% of my income is from ClickBank.

The reason most people will say to use multiple merchants is the whole "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" mindset. I'd say as long as you have multiple sites making you money, you're in the clear regardless of what the source is.

I'd agree with the idea of not putting all your eggs in one basket, maybe once you get one income running smoothly, then add another. By diversifying you spread the risk. I started by focusing on clickbank and adsense and when adsense banned my accoutnt (I was making over $600 a month) I realised I need to diversify.

Does Google really ban accounts like that? Especially if you are following all the rules. That's scary. I mean Adsense is what I am working on now and I'm starting to pull in quite a bit. I would hate to work so hard and not get paid.

        hi meka,

unfortunately yes they do, it happens to lots of people.

I think that I probably broke the TOS without knowing it, certainly not intentionally and I had been earning from them for about 6 months prior with no problems.

They would not give me information about why they banned me when I asked, they told me I could appeal, which I did, but because I have no idea why I was banned it's very hard to appeal, I still have no idea why.

It maybe a good thing to just focus on one or two things especially for a newbie but if something bad happen to the companies, you might ended up losing all you income. Maybe you should add one new program for each month.

There is only ONE income source in the big picture.....and it's called BUY LOW...AND SELL HIGH. You can apply that to any friggin business in the world...cuz without that.....you do no business, capiche!

That's the secret. And if you'se can't grasp that concept...all the rest of it...really doesn't matter.

SOMETIMES IT'S CALLED BUY HIGH...AND SELL EVEN HIGHER. Same thing.

The ways to the means...are called mediums...they are not "income sources."

Blogs, RSS Feeds, Websites et al....are not income sources. They just aint....they are marketing mediums.

The product or service you are pitching is THE INCOME SOURCE....PERIOD.

But most newbies focus on mediums/bells and whistles etc.... forgetting that ultimately you make money by selling stuff people want.... for more then it costs you'se to produce and market it.

Yet people waste lifetimes around this joint...on mediums...rather then asking themselves if anyone gives a shit about what it is they are selling.

I am curious how many Warriors honestly believe Internet Marketing is a business? Those of you'se who believe that....are in for a rocky friggin' road.

Unfortunately, too many people jump in the game.....put their heart and soul into mediums...rather then creating products people actually want and need.

People sell their souls creating a blog of the week....never considering if what they are blogging about.... matters to anyone but them.

            To sum it all up?

TOO MANY WARRIORS WASTE TIME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO SELL...RATHER THEN TAKING THE TIME TO DISCOVER... WHAT SELLS.

OK, so Adsense isn't as reliable in terms of getting banned. I think I may add another income generating method after I try the adsene thing and get paid.

You make an excellent point, Vince. Too many people focus on the wrong objective and miss the point entirely. I'm sure your post will help some marketers adjust their perspective and get on the right track.

When it comes to IM, being a jack of all trades but master of none never worked for me. Focusing and mastering one or two income streams is what works for me nowadays, although if I did feel the need for progression I may have to branch out a little.

You definitely can, I get almost all my income from ClickBank and AdSense (only about $2000 a year from CJ/NeverBlue/3rd party affiliates).

You can specialize as much or as little as you like in each product, if you were to try to promote every clickbank product alone this would be an endless task with millions of dollars in potential profit.

  • Yes absolutely, It is the way to go in my opinion even focus on just one until it is so easy for you, you can do it in your sleep. Then add another pipeline of income.

  • Everyone that is really successful in the Internet Marketing Industry. Look at Microsoft and Apple to think really big. Microsoft we know them for Window, not really there other products and they focused on it until it was so big they could add a software product every week.

  • Virgin - Richard Branson. He built Virgin and Virgin Music alone. He built it for twenty years with the banks always on his heels. Then in one big swoop he sold it banked a billion and opened about 30 pipelines of income... One focus is the way to go all the best books say it all the most successful people do it. It is a falsehood to have lots of little income centers and no one big one. Jack of all businesses Master of none.

    Hope that helps

Yes, I think you are right.

I think one focus and mini branches of that main focus is what works. Multiple but never far from the main core.

Like if you are into Dogs, do all things dogs. Then you will be seen as an authority on the topic and will have covered many aspects of the same theme.

      this makes sense. thanks!

      ----------------------

As a writer I have often gotten caught up in all the other mini mediums as was mentioned by VagasVince.

I get an email from some marketer and jump on that too. After reading this I will stick to creating products and thats that.
