Hola Warriors!

I have written a few ebooks and now I am getting ready to build websites around them but I wanted to ask what the average cost would be and should I go with a Wordpress site? These will be my first sites ever so any suggestions on hosting and traffic tips will be greatly appreciated! Also I plan on posting relevent articles in the niche forums and offering free reports for these books but mostly I would like to get an idea of the cost of the website.

Thank you all,
D.S.

This question is impossible for us to answer accurately. Some can work with free themes, others work with simple, one paged static websites, and other's work with complex websites consisting of many pages. It is completely up to your needs. Ask yourself these questions:

    1. What is my budget?
    2. How many pages will my website be?
    3. What will the purpose of the website be?
    4. Do I want a custom website?

Prices can range from being completely free -> few dollars to thousands of dollars. It all depends on what you need for your website. Maybe you should provide us with more details associating with what you wish to accomplish - and then we can give you a more accurate answer.

HostGator is highly regarded hosting. Again - it comes down to what serves your purpose. What budget can you afford monthly for hosting? That being said - hosting is typically cheap so it shouldn't REALLY matter; just make sure you do some research before jumping straight into things.

Additionally - it is highly recommended that you buy your domain from a different place where you host your website. http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7628717

Traffic tips: research free methods first before wasting your money on paid methods.

Thank you for you quick response Alast!

My main goal is to get more purchases and eye's on my books than I have been getting on Amazon, so if I had a budget of $100 that could get me a basic and simple webpage that I could market offline and on?

Thank you once again for your help!

Absolutely. I personally wouldn't spend any more than $100 for a theme - particularly for my first website (could be just me though).

    Hi Danny522,

Fist you have to choose and buy some hosting plan, there are plenty of hosting companies out there just google it and most of them offer to register a domain name which is included in the hosting plan price. So let's say you spend $2/mo for hosting for one year it would be like somewhere around $50 for one year (shared hosting + domain name). The next step would be to start creating your website. I would strongly suggest to go with wordpress, because it is very easy to understand and set-up. Just choose a template and install some plugins (free) and you are ready to start filling some content. Try to put original content only, because google loves it. After that start promoting your website. There are various ways to do that. You can create a facebook page get some likes and start promoting and create a twitter profile. After that proceed with article marketing and you can try out some PPC (Pay Per Click) ad campaigns if you have some extra budget. Hope that helps.

    Cheers,
    Velko
