Is it a wordpress site? If so, you can use a plugin for different languages.

If you are using wordpress for the platform, you can use an add-on to change the language but if you aren't, you will have to translate the articles to english.

    Hi,
If you are using wp site so download a plugin here: WordPress › WordPress Plugins OR not so you should have to rewrite your articles in English.

I'd say keep the Spanish articles, have the interface menu and everything else in english, and create a new Menu Item named Languages, and then Spanish and English as subitems where you will list your articles.

But definitely keep the Spanish articles. (if they are good). More unique content is always better for Google and your traffic.

And, dont use one of those plugins to translate your articles. Their translations is Horrible! Translate them yourself or hire someone from Odesk or Elance to do it for you

      just my 2cents..

You can use the plugin as mentioned above. In addition make sure to check over it, because many times the translations are a little hard to read. You will need to do a thorough proofread on everything.

I have a site in English that has regular requests for Spanish content. I get comments saying, "Please say in English" or similar. This is not surprising as the niche has a substantial number of Spanish searches and the niche originates from a Spanish speaking country. (I'm trying not to give away the niche here)

I'm guessing that a plugin translated article with a disclaimer note about the grammar would be better than nothing at all. e.g. "This page has been translated using 'Translation plugin name' Please accept our apologies for any errors.

To pay a professional to proof read it all would be quite expensive.

Does anyone do this for their websites?

This is a good idea. Because deleting contents will hammer the flow of traffic you are getting now (don't know if you getting good traffic or not).
