Landing Page and Squeeze Page

Hi I was hoping someone could help me with a basic question about landing and squeeze pages, I understand what they are but I dont understand where to physically put them. I have a hosted website so do I tag them on the end eg mywebsite/landing page name or do you get a website address for every new page you make? Or is it a sub domain, if I put it as a page on my website address it would have to be displayed on Joomla in my website menu for it to be published and I dont want that. Or do I ftp a page, if some one could please just help me where it goes I can learn the rest. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Hey, as far as I know you can edit the menus you display in Joomla by hand. So you can create your landing page normally (like any other page) and then just not include it in the menu. At first glance, this seems like a reasonable tutorial: How to change your Joomla menu | Joomla Articles

bro why are you using joomla for building landing page or so, I use normal HTML page to create my landing page and next work I do is bringing traffic and nothing else..

My suggestion is stop using joomla and build a new HTML base landing page.

Thank you Karolk for that tutorial, I have my menu already built, Ive just picked one product I want to test a landing page for so I dont want to have it on my site menu, for joomla you have to publish a page to a menu.

      JRJWrites that link is broken

spwerewolf thankyou but I have learnt Joomla from scratch and I find it easy to work with now and as my site is now built I am happy with it.

I think I will try to ftp a landing page and see if that bypasses the Joomla menu issue.

I would also recommend hoisting Joomla in exchange for either HTML or Wordpress. Both are super easy to create Landing / Squeeze pages. It also sounded like you had a question about the difference between the two. The landing page is the first page people see when they get to your site and a squeeze page is a page you drive traffic to which asks for something in exchange for something. Usually an email address in exchange for a report/eBook, etc. In most cases the landing and squeeze page are the same page.

I know you have spent the time to learn Joomla, but trust me your life will be a whole lot easier if you go the Wordpress route and it's very simple.

    Just my 2 cents

No need to use the Joomla, simple search for CPA landing page templates and download it on your local machine and edit the webpage and upload it by using FTP and you have done it...

Landing pages serve one purpose : To collect peoples info to follow up with them.

Opt in forms can be built into blogs or they can link to landing pages.

Usually you buy hosting and a domain yourself and you can use tools such as OptimizePress to help you create it. There are also MANY places that offer landing page create for free without you having to host it or buy the domain yourself, so that is something for you to look into.

    Hope this helps
