Is it still possible to be as popular as the following sites?

Hi,

I am wondering if it is still possible to be as popular as ShoeMoney.com and JohnChow.com?
Those blogs are really big and very popular.
Is it possible to make a living from just those blogs,or shall they earn their money from other income streams?

    from what i have read on their blogs,

    it seems as if they have had their blogs up for years.

    it probably took them time to build to where they are now,

    but i dont think that is their primary income stream.

    I think Shoemoney and John Chow have other main business's

      Thank you.
      From what i know is that Shoemoney has also some tolls you can use if you signup for a membership.
      JohnChow has also an other big blog I read.
      But I am really curious what kind of blogs and other websites they have to earn their living.
      It seems that they are also affiliate marketers.
