Hello Warriors,

I've been working offline for the last 5 years, i am running Local Graphic Design company and happy with the performance so far, yet i received a lot of requests from my clients to get online. Like Website and .. etc.

Thing is, i like to provide unique stuff and what i've read over the internet is not more than a hassle to me. it's all about build a website and create portal for clients .. etc and " Make sure you have monthly subscription " so that you keep cash flow coming and all this blah blah... Pick good Domain name " I've tried this before but i am not experienced in this field so i am not going to talk about it lol "

Is it possible to find a way, where i can establish my Online Presence in a unique classy way. doesn't have to be Fast tho, i just want it different and easy to use.

The smallest Detail matters to me and thats, what we strive to do in our local work. we already have an online tool that both we and our clients use to manage our work, plus emailing. so looking at those points and your experience. what do you think the best way to come Online?

I appreciate your support and help.

Thanks,
Omar

    Omar.

It's not clear what you want from your online presence.

Do you want more customers, a place to showcase your designs, a partnership with some other design companies or something else?

Then we can think about which venue might suit your needs.

That make sense, i came here because I wanted to brainstorm with experts, website is like a no brainer I reckon, yet I was thinking about something that comes around contest, where I can have my team compete to deliver best design to clients, and assign dedicated team to account manage the portal between clients and designers, so far we are 1643 designer. Adding to management and quality team.

      So let's say:

      1- contest platform
2- direct contact form or chat service between account managers and clients
3- internal communication tool between designers and AM
4- rating service and private listing so ranking won't affect client business - that's as far as I understand " important "
5- back end tool to allow fb and tw integration and sync real time updates
      6- payment gateway " felixable one "
7- integration of milestone to enable more options for large projects.
8- client data base to acquire activity and number of projects so that they can see their discount coupons if applicable

That's like how I am thinking about my online presence, I have came up with those while brainstorming with my team, yet I like to see from expert prospective.

Hope I am more clear now

      I appreciate your response

      Thanks
      Omar

    Omar,

I agree with Gordon King. You first want to be clear as to the reason why you want to be online. Then you can decide the best online tool to use.

You may want to think about a business page on Facebook. That might work.
A company website. That might work too.
Isn't there some graphic design websites that you can contribute to freely to showcase your work? That might be an area you can explore.

But first you have to be clear as to what you want to accomplish with your online presence.

    Hope this helps.

There are many ways to establish your presence online. Of course having your own website is obvious. But putting your name out in whatever niche your in and building upon it always seems to work. Guest Posting, Forums, Press Releases, Squidoo, Video Marketing all work, demonstrate your expertise in front of people in your niche. Find a way to market yourself in a way that you enjoy and soon more and more people will begin following you and begin interested in what you have to offer.

Sorry Omar, get a website, get a great domain, get out there, get busy, go to forums, go to linkedin, go anywhere you can start building a strong online presence. Be yourself and you will naturally attract people who to you that like you for you.

    Keep active 'daily'.

The people that do the best in this industry are not the smartest or most talented but the most 'persistent' and consistent
