How do I best market this online product? No proper affiliate system!

Hello warriors, I've been reading the forums and there are some really talented internet marketers here!

Myself, I know the theory of internet marketing but have not actually done it yet.

The reason I created an account here finally was to ask fellow warriors for their advice on marketing a great product I recently found.

The company that provides this product is based in US, Silicon Valley. To give you guys a better idea of what I'm trying to market,

The main product package consists of:
1) A mobile site, complete with hosting and a good mobile site builder.
2) One domain & hosting for that domain
3) 10,000 targeted traffic to any domain

They also have very enticing referral/affiliate fees. The problem I have is that the company does not have a proper online affiliate system. The customer has to actually register an account on the company's page, put me as the referer. Then proceed to navigate the company's website to purchase the package. What would be the best way for me to go about doing this? I would hate for my customer to not purchase because of the logistics.

The people I personally know who have success with this are selling mainly through face to face interactions. I would like to try to take this into the internet marketing realm.

Would anyone know how I can best achieve this?

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this! And do ask me questions if my post wasnt clear on anything.

Perhaps that is the intention of the company.

    So, here are some options.

Create your own web campaign, and make a video showing users how to go about the sign up using your referral. You could offer some additional guide/assistance as incentive to those who use your referral code.

    or

Contact the company and see if they are willing to set up a special sign up page for you to direct people to which may have some kind of tracking code.

      Here's another option...

Steal an idea from the tech support arena, and get some of that software that lets you "take over" the client's computer, and let them watch you set the account up for them.

That way, the client gets the benefit of having you do the work for them, and you get the benefit of not having to be physically on site.

    Don't bother with this.

Whoever offers this is trying to make quick cash without having the customer in mind.

"10,000 targeted traffic to any domain" is worthless crap.

Here is what you should do:

Find a product that is excellent and where the company has a working affiliate program in place.

Why bother with something that will never work if you can promote a decent product that works and that makes the customer (not just the vendor) happy.

    Hi,

Set up a blog. Write reviews. Give away free "how to" information concerning your niche.

Network with leaders in this niche. Comment on their blogs.

Gain the trust of your target market by giving away free value and popping up on authority blogs - via the comment field - and prosper accordingly.

    Give.

    Receive.

    All the best!

Thank you all for your help. I will take all of them into consideration.

Jill, I like the idea of showing them the signup process and giving them some extra incentive. Also, the company is already quite big, and like you mentioned, maybe they intended for their products to be sold in person. So I doubt they would change their system to make it easier for IM to sell for them.

    John, thats a great idea!

Goodboy, I'm already invested with this company and I like its compensation plan. Buyers actually get to earn back what they spend on their product. They will eventually get to earn more money than they initially paid for. So its not only a product. But also an investment vehicle.

Thanks Ryan, I'll do that to gain traffic as soon as I figure out how to effectively get people to sign up through the entire process.

Theres also trainings and explanations to be done for the customer after they make they purchase. I think I will have to come up with tutorials for that too. Lots of work.. especially since I have no knowledge of creating tutorial videos yet.
