Default What's Up With EZA????

I don't recall the last time this has happened, but my last article published at
EZA was on 8/30. I've got so much stuff sitting out there right now it looks
like a Shriner's convention.

Anybody else notice that EZA has taken the weekend plus off?

I understand they will have probably taken Monday off but I still have loads of articles there today!

Hope they review them soon!

I just checked mine again now and the red bar has moved forward so we are getting somewhere!

I think it is slower because they review each article twice as well.

My red bar isn't moving forward at all and I've had articles there for nearly a week - I hadn't submitted any in a while and I was wondering if they were slowing up acceptance times to get more people to pay for the subscription.

Hi Martin,

That's a long time to wait!

What subscription are you on about that is paid?

I haven't seen anything like this.

Chris, EZA have a $97 a month subscription fee to get to the top of the queue. I think the main perk is that you get your articles reviewed before everyone else.

EA has a bit of a traffic jam right now but I'm sure they will be up to par soon.

Chris did mention that the articles now go through several review points for quality etc. so that slows things down a bit too.

Cheers,

I've noticed that depending on what market i'm writing for the amount of time to approval varies considerably.

Last week I wrote two articles about weight loss and one article about dating. The weight loss articles were both approved within 3 days. The dating article is still at bar one.

No, the obvious solution is to start spending your time building websites with unique content. Then you can submit an article to your own server, without some bureaucratic BS getting in the way.

P.S

EZine Articles still has the policy "we will review your article within 7 days, if you haven't heard anything after that time bitch slap us"...

...that of course is paraphrased.

The point is, who cares? There's so many other ways to get traffic whilst you're waiting...and further more, to those who insist on writing thousands of articles to get traffic, creating your own virtual real estate is where the real investment is.

Think of it like renting vs buying a house.

The rent might go up, or the option might even disappear, but buying means you've always got the option to improve, build extensions and even sell if you want to.

But hey ho, each to their zone...

I just got a bundle approved this morning and the bars moved forward on a few more.

I honestly might consider paying 97 a month if I could be guaranteed that my articles would either be approved or denied within one business day, and if they were denied I would be told exactly why and not just given a general code. I think that would be fair for a hundred dollars a month.

However, for a vague "your articles get looked at first" I can't justify it.

The long wait for approvals at EZA is certainly frustrating, and for me it will mean planning further ahead. However, its when after waiting a week for approval and the article has problems that the pain really kicks in. Fortunately there are alternatives.

With so many balls in the air and marbles on the floor I've had to invest in some project management tools to help.

Does anyone know when the EA commercial service (monthly priority paid) service is going live?

Has it gone live and I've missed it?

I've seen posters talking about $97 a month, but haven't seen a sales page for it yet.

Many thanks.

Right now it is currently in beta being tested - I've been testing it out and can certainly vouch for the speed aspect of it. I've seen some articles reviewed and approved within a few hours. None have taken overnight provided I submitted them in the morning/afternoon.

They are presenting a strong case for obtaining my $97 a month.

Ok... the skeptic in me says, "Well, that's easy. We'll just delay approvals on free accounts and make sure we hop on these beta testers really quick."

Then we get to say, "Well, see how much faster we are when you pay us $97 a month?"

(Just thinking out loud, folks).

I've had a few times where I submitted an article and it took an extra few days to get it approved. I didn't really care because I was busy writing other articles and doing other marketing so when I got the notification from EZA, I thought, "Oh, yeah... I did submit that article. Kewl.", and then I went on about my business.

I think the recent delays are more likely due to the fact that it was a holiday weekend. Their offices were closed but a lot of folks took advantage of the long weekend to create and submit more articles than normal.

That just creates a backlog.

Let's remember it IS a free service, and that they are not obligated to process anything in a set amount of time. They do, after all, tell you to give them a week.

I know it's frustrating, but let's face it, if there were an alternative as good as EZA, we would all be using it and they wouldn't have these ridiculous wait times.

I have been wondering about this myself, my articles are approved in about 4-5 days, not that I do a lot of them, though.

If you're article marketing for backlinks you'd be better off using UAW's service and or 1Waylinks.net or even LinkVana.

To me the best thing about EZA is getting your articles re-published verbatim, but that also happens in a different sort of way when you get trackbacks to your blogs.

For 97/month, there are plenty of other ways to get your articles noticed, and spun, and hosted on other people's blogs automatically.

In many cases, a blog post will outrank an EZA article in the SERPs,too, so blogging kind of beats article marketing in regards to that.

NOT saying article marketing isn't good, it just depends on waht you're goals are

Yep, things have been going slower for me the last few weeks. Sometimes I have the whole page filled up with "pending articles" and it takes a long time to get approved. Also...for some reason my account homepage has been acting funny and the top half of the page is blank...I have to scroll down to see the information.
