Hi Warriors I've come to you for a bit of advice, and I know there are many of you out there who can help me out. My problem is that I'm having troubles selling high priced products ($147+) to my internet marketing lists. They don't seem to be interested, despite the fact the products are fantastic and with very good sales pages. And it's not all the latest guru launches that I'm promoting. I'm fine continuing to sell $10-$47 products, but I can't help thinking if I can just start converting on the higher value offers then I can drastically increase profits. My list has been built through ad swaps, forum marketing, article marketing. About 600 subscribers are buyers. Have you got any suggestions to help me out? Thanks, James |

build a graet relationship with your list by use audio, video to get your message across, use teleseminars to address buyer concerns. Usually if people are buying higher priced items they will buy less on impulse and will have more geniune questions to ask before making a purchase.

I understand your frustration. High ticket items are the way to go because that's where the money is. Although I wouldn't call $147 a "high ticket item".. That's more around $2,000 + in my opinion. I've sold big ticket items such as coaching etc... and I find that it's all about the sales copy. It's easy to sell someone something for $47 and below because those prices are similiar to everyday purchases. So even if an individual deep down inside knows they wont learn **** from the product, they will still buy it because "it's nothing". Now for someone to fork over $2,000 for a product their has to be a great product, even better sales copy, and a killer guarantee. So it might be that what your promoting 1. you're not promoting it well or 2. What your promoting has a poor conversion rate in the first place. IE bad sales copy. Most likely it's a little bit of both. Daniel |

When promoting above a level where someone can buy out of "impulse" I find its always better to remove as many barriers as possible. Therefore, make it easy for them to say yes, get them on a roll, get their head nodding and then offer them the $147 product. Someone briefly mentioned this above, Give them something valuable for free, provide the upsell for around $47 to $67 and then provide the $147. Also, try to change your mindset, LTV (lifetime value) of a customer is whats important rather than the one time sale price. Try to ensure you have some strong backend offers on all of your lower priced products. Ask yourself what would happen if a large percentage of your customers gave you nearly twice as much by saying yes to an upsell. This is a great way to increase revenue. If you want to provide a much higher value product, I personally use a x2 rule. Therefore, if the product is twice as much, (say usually you sell a product for $47 and this product is around the $97 mark) you will need to provide twice the reinforcement to the visitor to get them to buy. I then look to double that again. (the x2 rule) Using MORE social proof (testimonials) video testimonials, video examples, snippets of information to wet the appetite of the customer, when all combined will make it easier for the visitor to make that slightly harder decision to invest more. Overall though, start low, gradually build the price. It has been proven that once people start to say yes and commit, they are alot more likely to continue doing so than when the are "cold". Good luck. |

James, For one thing $147 isn't a high price for quality material, if you think $147 is a high price, then you have the answer why they are not selling. You need to be marketing to people who don't consider $147 a high priced item. There are lots of people who say you have to have a sales funnel of lower priced items, but there are also a group of people who say the low price funnel is killing your sales. Without knowing the sites where you built your list, I would guess your list is filled with people who, like you, think that $147 is a high price. That doesn't make for a good starting point. I don't know about others but I am on a fixed income and cannot afford expensive internet products that may or may not help me financially. If I am left in doubt then I will opt for the less expensive products and "build my way up".

As another point I am not sure if I made it or not in the post I made above. Give them a killer bonus offer for buying the product. One that I found works really well. I have an adsense site set with over 1300 articles and over 300 different niches. I will say break it down to 10-30 adsense site setups and give that to them as a free bonus for buying the 147 product in return.

| An open letter to people who are concerned about our already low price. First I want to thank you for your interest in our products, I have to be totally honest with you on my $147 price. I do understand that there are products with similar information that are selling for well over $500, and I am certain they are worth every penny. I've been questioned by my friends and associates why I choose the price of $147. Here's the reason. Yes my product is worth more than $147, and I am quite comfortable with the original price target of $497, but as markets grow and change, I choose to make this package affordable for anyone who truly saw the value in the information that I am providing. Now, some have been quite critical and harsh, saying that with such a low price that I will attract people who are looking for a bargain, and these people won't have the drive and desire to complete all the information that I am providing, and it will not be a success. I say Rubbish ~! You see, I have an advantage over "Others" who don't know you, like I know you. These "Others" just don't seem to understand.. I know you have already been successful with every step you have taken, and I am certain that you appreciate the value that I have always provided you. I believe that you understand and acknowledge that this is an exceptional value, and I believe you will do everything in your power to achieve the kinds of results that others only hope for. I have faith in you, and that faith comes from YOU. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes I understand this is an exceptional value, and I appreciate your low price of $147 is limited. I will do all I can to make a success with your information and provide a testimonial for your future upgrades. ---------------------------------------------------- Mark Riddle |

Sounds like your list has become 'used' to seeing promotions around the $47 mark. A big jump to $147 might be a bit of a shock. Try gradually increasing the price of the products you are selling... $57 => $67 => $87 => ... and see if that helps increase conversions.

Hi, I haven't read all the replies so sorry if this has been mentioned. The simple solution is to email your customers and ask them why they are not buying. They will tell you if you ask. Also, high priced items tend to require many repeat contacts. Terry |
