Twitter - Is this a good marketing tool?

Hi Warrior Member,

Recently I have been spending time with twitter and getting familiar with it for our sites.

Has anyone had success using this as a marketing tool? Please advise. Thanks

I have used it quite a bit and had pretty good success. The key is to keep your followers interested by tossing them useful information rather than just feeding them affiliate links. As long as you aren't overly aggressive Twitter is a very marketable portion of the web.

I have not had any success yet with it but I just started using it, so right now I am just concentrating on building my followers. If you want to build your followers real fast here is a free service Viral Followers.

Also one of my good friends has free training site for twitter and other social networks at Make Money And Travel Online Now he makes over $1200 a day just from twitter alone so I would take him to be the expert

Have you been under a rock the past couple years? Twitter is a serious part of my online strategy, but use it right.

It is SO important to not look at Twitter as a marketing tool first. Twitter is not about getting as many followers as you can and them promoting to them. Twitter is about social networking, its the same as forums such as this one here. If you promoted your products in every single post then people would ignore you quickly.

You need to give real value, become part of the community and help others. Becoming a valuable member of the community pays off in the long run and this is where Twitter can be most beneficial. Once you have a list of followers who WANT to listen to you, providing them with a strong offer for your product can be very profitable!

The other way Twitter can work well is by getting other people (who are trusted by their followers) to introduce your products to their followers. This puts your product in front of alot of new people quickly! (But you need to give a reason for people to do this in the first place for you, and thats usually down to a relationship being built first)

I have been with Twitter for a few months and its the way I heard about the Warrior forum! But lately it seems Twitter has become too commercialized, with many people sending nothing but advertisements to promote something. Maybe I got caught up in the wrong crowd.

I would like to point out Your link is missing in your sig file. As for your questions go yes twitter is a good source for marketing. If you are new to twitter it may take time to build up a followers list. Also if you have a set niche with one basic keyword twitter can come in very handy for you and your site. Take a few seconds go into twitter just above the hot trends should be a search bar type in your keyword and see the post there about that keyword. Want to talk about highly targeted traffic you just got it just by posting a simple twit
