Is Ebay still a good method for lead capture?

What do you guys think? I want to post a product on YouTube and sell it as cheap as possible so I can get signups on my email list. Is this still a worthwhile means of lead capture?

I would both create the YouTube videos and post a classified ad. Ebay is great for getting traffic and you could build your list fairly quickly by doing this.

This is definitely worthwhile. If you haven't yet, check out Jim Cockrum's "Silent Sales Machine" (not an affiliate link- I just like the product). He goes into great detail and has wonderful ideas about how to do this. Hope this helps!

Yeah, that's a great piece of work, You can certainly use this as an info hub for lead capture.

    Oh, yes. Very much so.

As far as using eBay to capture leads, there
is a Paypal plugin in Aweber that you can set
up that will give each customer the chance to
    join your list.

    It's through Aweber, though.

As far as using Youtube to capture leads, you can
certainly provide the URL to where your opt in
form is. Place this URL in your video's description,
and also include it in the video itself.

Total newbie question but what is the model for lead gen when using ebay? Sell ebook via ebay (assuming this is possible) and use as an ad of sorts to direct traffic to your landing page, etc...?

It depends. If you use a classified ad, you can probably link to a landing page and then deliver the eBook after collecting the information (never done this personally though, so don't know this for sure.) If you're selling a product, you will then be given access to the customer's email after purchse which you can add to your list. You can also setup a system where users can optin to your newsletter directly through eBay on your product pages.

Grow multiple email lists with one eBay account on autopilot.

I have a video on youtube that steps you through using the simple tool zapier.com to automatically add eBay buyers to an aweber niche list (you can have multiple automated niche lists). It's pretty slick - check it out. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to a youtube video here, so search youtube for the video titled "Use one eBay account to grow multiple niche email lists on autopilot" by 'silentjimdotcom' <- my youtube channel

If you want to create a huge email list, I think the best way to give away freebies (ebooks, tutorials) wherein interested parties need to enter their email so that you can send the download link.
