Hello There,

As an affiliate guy who promotes Clickbank products via YT I bought a few domains via Namecheap to cloak the CB affiliate links of the products I promote.
My question is, Can I do something so that when the visitors direct to the sale page via my cloaked URL link they can not see my HOP ID (nickname)?
I have seen several affiliates who do that, but I don't know how they are doing so!
I myself just use 301 redirection and when people click on my URL they'll see my ID at the end of the seller's URL page.

Thanks for any help

Yes, use tinyurl to compress long links, especially affiliate links.

It seems i couldn't say my real meaning. I want my Nickname ID be Hidden even when the sale page is open (for instance the visitors see just my URL in the address bar for all the times)

yes you can do, you forward masked our domain to your CB affiliate URL..

what actually happens is when masked your domain with any link and when a visitor visit that link he/she will never see your Affiliate link or any url, it be hidden under the domain name..

    I hope this helps you..

    Thanks
    Alam

Where did you buy your domain from? godaddy, namecheap...

as onSubie said you should be able to iframe or redirect with your domain supplier.

              Thnks Cram.

I use Namecheap domains, and managed to iframe my domain, but I am fearful because I am not sure if CB lets me do so or not and yet I am not sure if it can affect on the number of sales (ie my affiliate links won't count...)

You can always contact the owner of the product/service about this. Or go through CB TOS.

You can either use a cloaker, there are several WP plugins that can do that. Another option is to iframe the whole page. Just google it, it's really easy!

And if you need help ranking your YT views, PM me or check my sig

      Thanks for your input.
I am a YOUTUBE affiliate guy.
So how a cloaker (specially a WF one) can help me? I have domain in the description of my YT video which redirects my cloaked link to the sale page. So after redirection to the seller page the link in the address bar would be:
      thsellerurllin.com/?hop=myclickbankNickname
Now I want the visitors could not see the "hop=myclickbankNickname" in the seller page somehow.
s it possible without having a website myself?

      Thanks

      Hi

You don't need hosting or a website for what you want to do.

You should be able to simply redirect the URL with masking from your registrar. Make sure you are using the "with masking" option and not simply redirecting the URL.

So if you had myshortcut.com forwarded to my.crazy.long.123987.affiliate.link.com, the user would see your domain name even after the redirect.

You can usually add things like a description and tags for Google.

GoDaddy and Namecheap both offer this feature as part of your domain management tools. You can do it yourself and change it any time i.e. to a new affiliate offer.

Look on YouTube and there are lots of videos that show step-by-step how to do this.

Search YouTube or Google: domain forwarding with masking or url redirection with masking.

      Edit: Here is for Namecheap:

How To Set Up Url Frame Masking namecheap - YouTube
        Hi Mahlon,

Wow, Thank you so much my friend, I got it,
        Just 2 questions please:
1: Is doing iframe on my URL can affect on the sales or causes CB to ban me or so please?
2: can you please explain the bold one? Can i do it when doing 301 redirection too, or it is just for ifrmaing? I use Namecheao domains.

        Thanks once again.

    1. Amazon does not allow you to iframe Amazon pages. I'm pretty sure Clickbank does. Make sure you know the ToS of the affiliate program you are using.

A lot of Amazon associates lost their accounts from using WP Plugins that used iframes.

If you use a tool, plugin or theme make sure you know how it works.

    2. When you set up the forwarding with your registrar there will be option tags you can include. So if you are promoting a weight loss product you could tag it with: 'weight loss', 'diet', etc.

I have no idea if that is of any benefit or just something marketed as a benefit by the registrar.
