Hi,

I am wondering if any of you have good experiences with driving traffic to your websites /offers through expired domain names.

Questions:

1-Does it really work?
2- What is the best way to go?

Thanks guys (and girls)!!

Yes, if you can buy high page rank expired domains they can bring in some traffic. You can use the filter for PR 2 or better at expireddomains.net.

Assuming the domain name is within the same niche, redirecting the traffic will boost your viewership and potential subscriptions.

You can also add a post or article on your blog that address the niche of the newly acquired domain so the redirected traffic will benefit from your blog.

Find some targeted affiliate programs for the niche and make sure you have an opt-in option.

For $10 for the domain name, you have nothing to lose.

If your question is to just redirect the domain and expect traffic - you will barely get any, however, if you build a website, yeah you will rank easier rather than using a brand new domain.
