    Have you considered article marketing?
Takes a long time to get any amazing results from it, but it is free and it definitely works.

time to get traffic dude. there're tons of free methods -- article submission, blog and forum commenting, just to name the 2 most well-used.

definitely aim to get good backlinks. if you do the traffic methods, you should get both traffic and links.

    Hey,

What type of site is it?

For now, you should try to do a couple of things - drive free traffic via Search engines, articles, other sites etc. For SERP's, build backlinks to your website. Get Angela Edwards packages, they're really good and help a lot.

For other traffic methods, submit articles to article directories, simple softwares to software download sites and try to get traffic from other such free methods. Try and be creative there!

    Best of luck.

    "Does ezine really work?"

In answer to this the words Quality and Quantity come to mind.

Quality: write good content and you hopefully will get some clicks through to your site.

Quantity: if you want decent traffic to your site, the more the merrier.

I've heard it suggested that you need at least 50 ezine/articles to see things really take off - unfortunately I've only got about six on the go - but maybe somebody else can clarify if this so.
