How should I invest 5k?

I don't have 5k yet and I'm honestly still looking for a way to get there, but it's always good to know in advance. I have seen websites for sale online for less than 10k that generate approximately 2k per month. Is this a good way to invest or is it a bad idea? Articles or posts about anyone's experience doing this would be helpful. Thanks!

That would be the worst thing to do, those places are finished, they will never pick up, its just wishful thinking. Buy a house now for $20k, sell it in a year for $15k, in another year it will be worth $10k, etc...nobody even rents in those places anymore. I know first hand, I invested in foreclosures in the US, got real estate for 10% of their original value and now nobody wants them even for free, as people don't even have money to pay taxes and the HOA fees. Real estate market in the US is dead, because whatever has a value, the yearly taxes are insane, more than rent is worth in many places.

Any website that makes steady $2k per month won't sell for less than $20-40k. If it sells for less, its mostly because the owner invested a lot in traffic just to create the idea of a good income to sell the website for good profit. Don't trust the income websites claim to make on auction websites, because even if its real, it costs them more than they admit.

As for your investment, it all depends how much work you are willing to put into and what are your expectations.

Does that mean that most of the claims on Flippa.com for selling such websites for 10k each are scams?

I don't know if all, but most for sure. Some can be people who are really in need of quick cash for emergency reasons...but many just make even those up. Like pretend someone from the family is in the hospital, etc...I have dealt with all types of scammers, some people have no shame whatsoever.

There are hundreds of similar posts on this site about "what should I do if I have $XX to invest."
Over and over again the replies you will get will be it depends on you and your skills. There is no way for us to possibly give you advice without knowing anything about you.

The internet is absolutely no different than the real world. If you invest in something you know nothing about and your skills do not apply to making that investment grow then you will just lose your money.

I would say regardless of what niche or what area you want to focus on I would say that if I had 5K and I really wanted to fast tract my success I would start with 2 things.

1.) I would get a coach that has already been where I wanted to be.
2.) I would take the time and energy to create my own product line

The first one I really would like to do but I don't have the funds to do so YET and the second one I have written a couple ebooks which are not the best way to start. At least not in my experience; but they seemed to me to be the least frightening and an easy way for me to get something out there.

I would say video products would be best as you can easily turn video into audio, text, powerpoint slides, and mindmap and have several modules from just the effort you put into creating your videos

Anyway, that's what I would do with 5K if I had it.

    Make it a great day,
    Joe

if any blog or website is making about 2k per month with out any extra efforts ,how any one can sell his money machine? i think it is fake.
i will not suggest you to invest in such kind of offers.

Well you dont have $5K yet. But when you do get there you will have found some way to earn and save $5K so you should invest your $5K in scaling up and expanding the method you used to earn that $5K in the first place since it now is a proven method.

In short the questions is moot because by the time you earn the money to invest you will have answered your own question.

Why not come back and ask when you actually do have the money to invest? Not being facetious but seems like a waist of time...
