Speaking from experience, you will NOT get professional results with software. If you want the real deal, you need to hire a professional! I've had good luck hiring this out on elance.com, and if you want to PM me I can give you the contact details of a specific guy I really like.

FYI, most in that industry refer to the whiteboard vids as "explainer videos." Just thought I'd mention that so you use the right keywords in any jobs you might end up posting.

Do you mean as in hand drawing animation style, i.e. like drawing or writing on a whiteboard?

If so, check out VideoScribe - Sparkol VideoScribe

I found it to be outstanding. It's super easy to use and I think it turns out great looking videos.

You can see my own use of the software via the link in my sig - it's the first video on the page.

Basically how it works is you can download the software for free and put together your video. When you're ready to export it you subscribe to their service. It's a monthly fee, but you can just sign up for the one month then cancel if you don't need to make extra videos.

I just used the included assets but you can also import your own.

Sparkol is definitely where you want to go. It's fairly inexpensive, easy to use and creates very nice looking videos.

    GL on your venture.
