I am about to launch a new affiliate program.
Please advise me of how to motivate affiliates to join the program.

    In the main, it needs to be a good product that has a chance of wide appeal and will have good conversion prospects. A good commission rate is also important.

    In addition, you need to have a good sales page and provide the affiliate with lots of graphics & tools to help them put together there own website sites to drive traffic to your sales page.

    Anything between 10-20% is enticing enough for me. By the way, the people in my country are crazy over Japanese made stuffs, hence I believed there is a market for made-in-Japan stuffs.

    Awaiting your launch and good luck!

    Great question, thanks for asking.
    Affiliate marketers certainly want a fair commission. But they also want evidence that the products convert well, because regardless of commission rate if sales aren't made commissions aren't generated.

    Combine that with excellent customer service from first contact to post-sale follow up, and you'll have quality affiliates applying to your program.

      Your affiliates need the BEST training. So how can affiliates plug your product in to their sales funnel? The more tools you provide your afffiliates the better. For example, give them as much marketing support that you can. Autoresponders, classified ads and banner, and free reports they can use to embed their affiliate link in. Make teaming with you highly attractive. And also, don't forget to give them a breakdown of keywords so they can target market.

      Get hooked into a JV network, then spread the word about your affiliate program. If the payout is good, and the product is sellable, it will be a success.

  • Hello Dai,

    First, best of luck with your launch.

    Second, heads up -- Long post!

    Upon browsing through your site, I suggest providing a clearly visible link in the main page of your website that points to a section where your target audience (prospect affiliates) can quickly and easily view the following:

    • Your updated list of merchants;
    • Updated merchant profile;
    • Updated product list of each merchant, with brief product descriptions, product images, product commission percentages, ratings, conversion rates and so on; and
    • Other things that the merchant offers, such as banner or text creatives and so on.

    You can also formulate compelling special sign-up offers for your target audience, aside from the things that you're already providing. These special offers may be free custom WordPress themes / templates with logo / banner / icon / images, each optimized for a particular merchant category, free mailing list subscription offers like PLR digital info products that are optimized for each merchant category and so on, which your target audience can get upon signing up as affiliates (or upon signing up to your own mailing list of prospect affiliates). Just don't overdo it for now, of course, since this should be the testing phase, in my opinion.

    I also advise improving the content of your sign-up pages. To do this, perhaps you could hire a professional copywriting company with relevant experience in creating compelling sign-up pages for markets that are closely related to your target audience.

    At this point, I advise testing these things by implementing any one or more of the following:

    • Facebook PPC / PPM advertising via custom audiences consisting of active niche-related Facebook group members. These niche-related Facebook groups may be affiliate groups, Internet marketing groups, SEO/SEM groups, make money online groups and so on that are closely related to your target audience;

    • Paid advertising arangements with owners of sites that are heavily trafficked by your target audience. These may include niche-related Web forums and community sites like this forum; and

    • PR distribution outlets that can reach your target audience.

    *** I recommend having a fixed budget for the campaigns above, since the main purpose of these campaigns at this point, in my opinion, is to test your special offers, promotional channels and so on.

    Hope this helps. Cheers!

      Hello Marx

      I updated the site based on your advise. I haven't yet done with everything you indicated me. I will complete the rest of things though.

      I am going to implement the paid ads as test to recruit the potential affiliate.

      Would you let me know how you can help my business and how much cost you charge me if we work together?

      You said you didn't check this forum often, and I hope that this message will reach you.

      Thanks

      Dai
