Default I found something *very* odd (Scam???)

( I need to apologize, i cant post this under my real handle until i know what's going on here.)

I am affiliate with a CPA network and i just found an offer/site on this CPA network which is called "Survey Adventure".

This particular program is with the CPA network since 2007 already.
The network pays "$4.50 after a 3 step sign-up process".

(The CPA affiliate link also goes to this site surveyadventure.com)

The weird thing is that the surveyadventure.com site is actually a "fake" redirect site which redirects to a clickbank site via hoplink "makemoneytakingsurveys.org" --- any time you go to the site surveyadventure.com it actually goes through a clickbank hoplink first.

Now i feel odd, what is going on here? Does this smell like scam?
Or is it "legal" to make a fake redirect site - and submit this site to a CPA network? Or is this something the CPA network set up where they pay their people $4.50 on the entwork - while they make the big bucks via clickbank with this? (Which is approx. $40/sale for whoever owns that fake site)

I would have mentioned this to my affiliate manager...but i am afraid that this could be intended and i would get booted from the network for pointing this out...

It's probably not a scam. It's just one affiliate (acting as a merchant) and redirecting traffic to a higher paying merchant. I see it alot with insurance leads as well.

yes Eric is right, an affiliate is advertising in whatever CPA network that is and is paying that much amount for a sale, a sales lead. I never saw CPA networks policing to not to advertising on products that you dont own, or on the product that you are an affiliate and just getting compensated for a sales lead. So this guy figured out this pay per sale method. Wow pay per sale sounds cool, you only pay when you get a sale. Thanks for bringing this to this communities attention. Maybe some veteran CPA marketers can shed some light on if this is legally viable way to advertise.

Best,
Esh

Could even be the network itself. Alot of networks create their own offers too
