    Serious answer? I wouldn't.

Seriously, there is so much information about how to make money online and most of it is free. You don't have to buy something to learn and I wouldn't. I already have more information and tips to implement just from reading through this free forum (with searching for specific ideas/threads).

Of course I might be the outlier since people get caught up in buying and rebuying packaged how to make money online products. So I'm sure someone would buy... it just won't be me.

In my experience a lot of people these days are willing to pay for information on content creation and managing social media. That's just been my experience though.

The answer is hiding in plain sight right in your question. A product that tells me
what people are buying online presently to learn how to make money.

I think you identified an opportunity right in your question. There's SO much information on IM. People get confused, and jump from 1 thing to another. So I think that leads to an obvious conclusion, and that's coaching and/or mastermind groups that help keep people focused on a certain topic before they move on.

I agree with Marks post. Its hard to make a plan and stay focused. Its too easy to just give up and move onto something else when things dont seem to be going right. A group to help with problems would definitely be worth investing in.

I recently bought a squeeze page plug-in, Wordpress theme, images on Fotolia, articles, press releases, sales copy and graphic design.

That's what helps me make money online.

I'm in pretty much the same boat.

I've reached the point where I rarely buy info-products anymore, unless they are very specific to something I need right now. That hasn't happened in awhile.

I do buy "stuff" like software I can't or don't have time to do for myself, images, and skills I don't have.

I would invest in a comprehensive A-Z online marketing course. Too many people focus on $7 ebooks or the latest method for making money online and then wonder why they can't make any money. The problem is, they don't give you the whole picture or a solid foundation. They just focus on a single method or technique based on the latest hot trend, which sets you up for failure.

My top recommendations for such programs are Ali Brown's Elevate program or Jeff Walker's Product Launch Formula. You can't go wrong with either of them.

If I were getting into the e-book WSO business tomorrow.. I would develop an entire series on the process of who what how when and where to begin.

How to Really make money online would be worth a read for me.

Do people really make money selling $7 ebooks? Building a buyers list, attracting affiliates and a platform to sell higher ticket products is understandable but the real money is made selling higher tickets like coaching.

A lot of people are seeing the front end and not the back end where the real money is actually made.

Maybe 'The Truth about how to make money with a $7 ebook'... step by step! (and not just explaining in passing what needs to be done would be helpful). mmmm

I only purchase books that further my education on copywriting, sales psychology, and business.

I will sometimes purchase info products, because I like to study what people are selling and how they are presenting it. Not to actually use the product itself. Just research.

Interesting responses in this thread. I'll chime in with the fact that I'm also not buying info products right now, no more programs - I'm in a few mastermind groups, focusing on my business models, and only making essential purchases for those business models.

Really, anything anyone needs to know can be found for free on the internet. The real challenge is the TIME needed to sift through the junk, find the gold, and then piece it all together into an actionable plan.

The only way I would ever buy something is if it was something I was incredibly unfamiliar with, and the program found all the gold out there, and put together an exact followable step by step plan that tells me exactly what I should be doing every step of the way.

One exception to the rule: If I need to buy the product for research, so I can make a much better product.

    Knowledge is power. Seriously.

I studied copywriting for years. I was absolutely obsessed with it. When I became a great copywriter then I realized I needed to know about Direct Mail. Same thing studied and educated myself on that.

And then obviously SEO, building a website ,building a list, e-mail marketing and other things come into play.

In my opinion you should be great at one thing and have great knowledge of all the tools that your business needs to be a success.

Nothing, go and get a basic job in any internet based company and let them pay you and you'll learn things that will never be sold in any 'ebook'. Most IM knowledge is just general knowledge stuff, how to create a PPC ad, how to do an email broadcast, how to build a list... I tell people that stuff for free daily in newsletters.
