Why Warrior posts are removed without reason?

Hi,

Some of my very popular posts of WarriorForum has been removed or disabled for some unknown reason. These posts were had high number of visitors and well discussed for many months - I don't see a reason why would they be removed.

Has anyone faced a similar issue or know a solution to this.

I've mailed the administrator a week back - but there has been no response so far.

Any idea?

Agree with Joe - would be the only way till you hear from an admin of the exact reason.

The posts were over 10 months old in some cases, with thousands of views .. and many many comments 7 discussions - I see no reason how they could violate any rules.

I did shared a couple of them on my facebook and other profiles because they were so helpful to warriors here.

Is there any restrictions to how I promote a thread elsewhere?

        Such modesty.

Some of your posts have had links to your own sites in them, which is not allowed.

Posts are deleted if they are self-promotional, have links to your own sites, are put in the wrong section, are rude or inflammatory, etc.

Not that I can think of offhand, no. You'd probably get more mileage from summarizing them on your own site, and linking to the thread for folks who wanted to follow the discussion, but that's a practical issue, not policy.

If they were that old and people bumped them recently, that could be the reason they were closed. Assuming they were just closed and not deleted, of course.

That is the single biggest reason for thread closings recently. Delayed bumps.

Let me see if they're still there anywhere...

Having just looked, I see two that were obviously deleted because of self-promotional links. The third was a judgement call (with which I happen to agree) that the post was sig bait. Essentially, an article so close to the content of your signature that it seems clear it was posted solely as an ad for the sig.

I guess you're right - but i didn't make any changes recently - they were as it is for quite sometime.

They cud at least have a warning mail before deleting the post all together.

Thanks for your expert review Paul.

Just out of curiosity, what would a warning that your thread is about to be deleted accomplish.

You won't get a warning email, for one very good reason.

It would take a full time staff to issue the warnings and then handle the "discussion" of why the decision to delete was wrong, unfair, warrants an exception, etc., etc., etc...

Apparently, they just hadn't been reported before. Or maybe the mod who deleted them happened across them while reading. Hard to say.

I have never put links-linking to my own site before and I have felt that a couple of my posts being deleted was in-fact a little strange, I think I have read the rules before, perhaps I forgot them. Perhaps the best thing to do is read the rules, get familiar with them...actually wait I'll simplify that a little more...

Get a natural reader by doing a search for natural reader on Google, paste the rules into that and have it read it for you, call me lazy but that's how I read terms of use, it's less lazy then what most do...(Not read them at all.)

Then after you have familiarized yourself with the rules; copy your posts into folders so then you can know which topics got deleted and now you can ask specifically why they have been deleted. This maybe more pain then one may wish to go through but it is painful when posts get deleted seemingly for no reason, so then you have to ask your self which is less painful?

Because without the knowledge of the rules or the specifics of what was said there is no case, just allegations.

May I recommend that you read this? : http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...bers-read.html

It will explain why that part of your post was bad advice.

Paul could this be part of the glitch from the other day? some posts gone or some not even listed after hitting the post tab

Nope. Not a glitch. They were deleted by a moderator.

Why is it, when a thread is deleted, the OP takes out a thread asking "why was my thread deleted" especially when you know the reason you took out the thread was to self promote

You got caught self promoting, so have a lil giggle and move on, no need to take out new threads asking why your other thread was deleted
