Wow E-Junkie Down Twice This Month...

--> Just a warning for anyone with them right now. They went down services, site and all.

Right now I am thankful that I do not do any business with them other then securely hosting a few images.

They have gone down twice this month with no warning I know of...

If you are doing business with them or thinking of it - I seriously would reconsider going with DLGuard or any other alternative.

    Just because a site goes "down" does not mean it is a bad solution.

    In fact Paypal, Gmail, Hotmail, twitter etc. all have system burps once in a while.

    Recently there were major network outages that effected some of the largest enterprise hosting providers on the internet today. The outage had nothing to do with the services using the hosting...

    When those outages happened it effected a lot of large scale services. The servers and private racks they host on were not down... the network was down.

    I bet if you were running a self hosted solution such as DLGuard etc. on your own servers that you would have similar issues occasionally. In fact by hosting your own solution your resources would likely be far skimpier than large scale hosted service providers.

    This is why the industry says 99% uptime and not 100% when they sell you hosting.
