Hey - I know Yahoo has an auction site:
Yahoo Shopping - Online Shopping with great products, prices and reviews

If you scroll down you'll find a link called 'advertise with us' which will get you started. Hope this is a good start for you.

Yahoo shut their auction site down about 6 or 7 years ago. Their shopping site is for people who want to find deals and compare prices.

Try clickbank or start building your own website. I can help you to build a product based website ( if you have several products ) , or an e-commerce website.

First of all, I would say keep working on getting traffic to your own website. It's a long term venture, this getting traffic business. Try different methods and see if you can find one that works.

Also, have you tried CraigsList for selling products?

There are some sites where you can open a free shop in a directory like a shopping mall. I'm an affiliate of one. Links not allowed so I don't post it.

Hi yeah i tried building a website using the weebly ecommerce builder. But i get like no traffic lol. I dont even know where to start to get traffic other than buying google adwords. its kinda frustrating because i sell ok on ebay based on my products and my prices but ebay takes such a big cut. and my listings on ebay look nice and professional compared to the other sellers that sell same products. so if i could somehow get traffic to my website that would be great. I just dont know how.

I havent tried selling on craigslsit yet. I mainly do dropshipping, but my main supplier is the factory so dropshipping my main product line goes great. I am not sure how to incorporate craigslist. I have thought about copying my ebay item description html and pasting it into craiglist to market it and maybe link it to my ebay listing or even to my website, but i am not sure if this is the correct thing to do. Do u have any advice for that?

You can buy some ad space on Facebook and drive the traffic to your own website.

Depending on the product, you can maybe create ads on Craigslist, buy some ad space in a magazine that caters to that market, or buy banner ad space on other websites or forums in that niche.

Some people suggested clickbank which is a good solution if you're hoping to sell digital products; they have recently supported physical sales though it's not really primed for that yet and I don't think digital product is what you're currently selling base on your open post.

    - You could possibly consider expanding your efforts on what you're doing currently at eBay and Amazon. You likely haven't exhausted the options here and since you're getting some sales through eBay it can be a prove of concept for you to bring it up a notch.
Maybe try targeting other key terms. Perhaps use marketing ads and SE traffic to get more sales through eBay than you already are so you can slowly build an authority seller profile which will improve conversions.

One thing you might not want to do is span out too wide that it becomes hard for you to zoom in.

    - Craiglist as others mentioned is a great alternative option especially for local sales which aids your shipping cost?

    - Facebook fan pages can actually even be equipped for sales which can be very useful to integrate your social media and ecommerce on your fan page.

Not too sure etsy might be what you're looking for or social shopper?

Hope some of these suggestions help

Ps. Another thing to ask, are you looking for more selling mediums or promotional and increasing sales on the current mediums

You could possibly consider forum marketing as well; search for active forum niches remotely towards your product niche, contribute and see if they have a marketplace (which many forums have today). It is a great way to build a community and support.

Unfortunately, there are no solid alternatives. Ebay and Amazon pretty much have monopolized on that market.

I agree with Greg. Ebay and Amazon pretty much have all the market share.
One good thing Ebay has done to get more sellers is there is no listing fees
    in some categories.

This way at least there is no fee if your product doesn't sell.

    Here's my top picks:

    1) Your own site

    2) Buy.com

    3) Half.com

    4) Etsy

    5) Craigslist

Those are 5, but my most favorite is option #1: Your OWN site.

You get autonomy and power and freedom with this option. It's worth more than you know to have an autopilot business that YOU control... not some other 3rd party owner or association. Know what i mean?

I have accounts with Ebay, Amazon and even Clickbank.

But I won't sell any of them. The commissions are just way to low.

And paid ads are just not feasible for low % pay outs.

I use a system that teaches new and intermediate marketers how to do all this stuff...Create Traffic, Collect Emails and most importantly...how to convert.

It has a very low cost entry level of $1.

But a lot of higher backend products to sell to each customer.

I have the ability to make thousands on the back end from just one customer.

Don't misunderstand what I just said...i don't mean I make thousands from all $1 customers.

But X amount of them do upgrade.

So far every 2 out of 6 do upgrade to a $37, then $127 then onto a $ $1,997 product.

These products payout 40 to 60% commissions.

If I were you, I would keep sharpening your traffic creation skills and later down the road find higher profit products to sell.

Also make sure to start building a list.
