Hey guys, I request your expert advice lol.

Hey all! So a little bit about me. I'm 29 and I'm from Ireland and about two weeks ago I somehow stumbled upon internet marketing and began to get really interested so for the last two weeks I've been reading articles and watching videos on Youtube trying to learn as much as I can. I've mostly been reading about Affiliate Marketing (that's how I learned of this forum's existence) so I thought it'd be a good idea to join it and seek the advice I need. I want to get involved somehow and as the old saying goes, everybody has to start somewhere so what I want to know is what do you guys suggest I do to begin? I understand you don't make thousands overnight, I'm just looking for a route to kick start things. Whatever you guys consider the best for "newbs" to start out with.

    Create a squeeze page, build a list, build a relationship with your list and then sell them affiliate offers that you would personally buy yourself. You can also buy domain names with generic keywords such as LinuxDedicatedServer.info and get that to the top of the search engines by buying backlinks, guest blogging and so on. The more competitive the keywords, the harder you're going to have to work on that.

    Does anybody know of any step by step guides online either text or video form for free? Guides made for beginners starting out.

      Affiliate marketing is what you should focus on. Read the article above to understand how to setup a squeeze page and follow up with your subscribers. The second best option is to create a few websites that rank at the top of Google for generic keywords that buyers type in such as "Linux Dedicated Servers". The domain LinuxDedicatedServers.info is available. After you buy your domain name setup a website on that topic and refer people to your affiliate links. Build backlinks to get your website to the top of Google.

    No, I was not suggesting affiliate marketing, just to read that thread. You can use that information for marketing affiliate or original products.

    You need to know what you're doing no matter what. And some things will not go completely right no matter what. Can't be afraid to make mistakes because they'll happen.

    Step by step guides? Well, read that thread and then use the search function at the top of the page to find what you need. You can search on squeeze pages, landing pages, sales funnel (although the thread gives you info on that), and more.

    Search > advanced search > search by keyword (top left) > search by title > then select Main Marketiing forum.

    This forum has everything you need to learn the basics and then some. No need to go elsewhere.

    There is just so many ways to make money via affiliate marketing, it's easy to feel overloaded with information and be somewhat paralyzed in making a decision on where to start!

    I personally started with Google adwords, spent about $300 there with no success.
    Then I got into PPV, (Pop up Advertising), and started making around $100/day.

    I've since moved back into Google PPC and am making some money there too.

    Right now, Teespring is hot, so check that out.

    I personally would avoid the crappy traffic sources like 7Search, etc and just start with the known, high quality ones such as, Google/Bing/FaceBook/Leadmpact/50OnRed.

    I would definitely suggest to do a decent amount of reading at the start. What helped me a LOT were the 'ask me anything' threads that you can find on Reddit, WF, and other random forums. I've saved a list of them here.

    Anyways, just jump in and start with whatever you want. As long as you keep at it, you'll see success,

      Typically, when asked such a question, I would refer you back to yourself: What are your interests, what is your passion, do your have a hobby?

      If you stick with something you know; then you have a better chance of success and less of a chance of being scammed.

      There are no real overnight successes, no real secrets and ...
