Copyright images on a review/blog site? Please help

For a review/ blog site, am I allowed to use the images from the affiliate site?
Would there be any copyright issues? because I'm essentially sending the potential buyer to their website, therefore, it's essential that I'll need appropriate images of the product on my site.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this

Go straight to the horse's mouth. Ask the site owner.

Because every product owner will have their own terms and conditions relating to images, the only sure way for you to have an answer to your question is to ask the people who own the images.

A lot of the sites that have an affiliate program also have "tools" such as banners and ebook covers that affiliates are free to use and there is often a dedicated affiliates page where you can find such items.

This is an area where due diligence is a must. One wrong decision on using images can have disastrous consequences.

While what you say makes sense, you can't be 100% sure where they got their images.

Thank you everyone so much for your replies, much appreciated! Seems like there's too much risk involved with pictures.

Is it essential to have Images on your website and newsletters to make good money from affiliate marketing?
I am thinking bout not including images just links to text that redirects to the product.
And just have an attractive designed website
    Thank you

It really depends on how much content you'll be giving in writing.

If it's too long, reader's eyes will need a break so an image will come in handy.

Images will always make it more engaging.

If the affiliate company offers marketing tool including banner images then you can use that on your site and not directly from their official site.

Having images is not a must on your site/newsletter and no one can truly answer this without testing the waters.

From my experience, photos speaks louder than words.

Not to worry, play and experiment with it.

If it's a physical product, try going direct to the manufacturer and contacting their marketing or media relations people. Many manufacturers make publicity photos available free of both royalty and upfront fees.

Just in case you check the ToS & fine print, remember that images count as "intellectual property".

share a personal thought... (sorry for bad english.. not native )

instead of using image from the affiliate site where it can go wrong, why don't you go search the royalty free images on your own :>

i think it's more secure instead of using images which you don't sure the source of the copyright :>

there's a lot of royalty free source image where you can choose your desired images..
although there will be a small fee needed for the images you buy, but at least you don't have to worry about being sued because of stealing images... :>

One of RF images source that i know : fotolia, bigstockphoto...

be sure to check the copyright for images you want to buy, as sometimes, they have different terms of use...

    Warm regards,
    hendy August

This depends highly on the terms of the site. It is better that you send an email to their support for such questions.

Mostly, product owner allow you to use every information, description, images related to the product you are promoting, but some doesn't so it's better to check it with them first.
