PLR advice sought!

INTERNET MARKETING

I've been writing for many years and am good at it, but have a question about PLR content. I can produce high quality articles, but how should I market them? On my own website? At a site like ezine? I understand SEO and keywords but am honestly at a loss as to how to get started. If you are kind enough to answer, please be specific with the Internet terms you toss about with abandon. I am not at a high level of savvy, yet, but with this forum I know it will only be a matter of time before I am slinging them about with the best of you! Thank you for any advice you can offer.

Once you have enough posts you could market your PLR articles (that you write) on the WSO, Warrior Special Offer Forum. It costs 20 bucks to post, but it a great marketplace to reach IM'ers. Here's the forum link:

  Have you though about approaching your regular customers with the PLR?
  
  Also, SEO, emails to webmasters anb blog owners in your niche and a host of other ways could work wonders.
  
  But you already have paying clients....thats where I'd start.

You can add them to your signature link once you have made enough 'relevant' posts but of course you'd need to have your PLR products setup on your website. As mentioned above, you could offer them as a WSO, or you could write good articles about PLR and add your links in your bio. You could also start doing some SEO to try and gain some organic traffic.

Depending on how you work it...you could assemble a short report and give it away to build a list.

Or...you could assemble a PLR pack, give it away as a free WSO, then sell future article packs to the list you build.

Thank you to all who answered. I am amazed at how readily this forum's members jump in to help and offer advice. It is encouraging to have people in the know to whom I can go with questions. I hope I can return the favor someday...in fact, I will make it a promise to do so.

One of the biggest problems selling PLR is you are competing with a lot of other sellers, and one thing you need to do is to work out your rights before you start to sell. Get that wrong and you will lose a lot of money.

Also, many suppliers only think of themselves as content suppliers. They limit the amount of money they can make from selling a single PLR.

One buyer on the WF talked about how a seller was selling a PLR and they only sold 1 copy. He took it as a marketer and made over $1K in one day.

Get it right and you will make the $1K that the marketer made rather than the $27 the seller made.

  I think you;ve hit teh nail on teh head here. This is the problem he's having. He understands the creative end like most writers, but not the business end/marketing.

Most of the people who buy PLR are marketers, and look at how they use the product to make money. Do the same and sell as a marketer.

Tip: Always keep 1 licence for yourself, so you can sell the product with the same rights as those who have bought it.

As Bev said, protecting your business is vital.

The tips here pretty much sum up what you need to get started:

1. Create a PLR product. I started off with only two PLR article packs.

2. Setup a website to sell and accept payment. I use WP for the site. I find e-junkie is highly affordable and easy to install if you sell more than one product. And it has affiliate program too.

3. Run a WSO. Or give a report away (see my sig for one live in action).

4. Put your product/WSO link is your signature.

5. I also put in some effort to drive SEO traffic now.

The problem with most people is they think too much. Don't make that mistake. Get started now and improve along the way. Action speaks louder than words.
