List Building: How to ensure no one gets the same email twice while everyone gets every email at lea

Hi Guys,

I use Aweber if that makes any difference.

How do I make sure that the same people don't get the same broadcast twice or more, and that everyone gets to see all emails at least once?

Here is the situation:

I am building a new email list on a new site.

I am planning to send broadcasts lets say every 2 days.

And lets face it, not every reader/subscriber of your blog is going to see every old posts you have on your blog. So, I am planning to send old blog posts as broadcasts every 2 days.

However, I am going to set these up once a week or once a month as I add new blog posts to the site and older posts get pushed further down.

Meaning, I do not have all the blog posts that I am going to send out at once, where I can go set this up as Follow Up Series. I have to send them as they become available in the future.

Is using "Broadcasts" out of the question here since you can not (or it be very hard) to keep track and ensure everyone gets every email and no one gets the same email twice.

Would you just use Follow Up Series and basically assign each email (as you add them - remember, I don't have all the blog posts yet, so I will add them as I go along to this list) to go out in a specific time frame related to their subscription date?...

Meaning, I would basically keep track of the past emails and the interval they went out, so as I add new emails, I will send them out on a different date related to their subscription date and 2 days after the last broadcast they received?

Keeping track like this:

email one - 2 days after they join

email 2- 4 days after

email 3 - 6 days after

then for email 4 I make sure to set it to go out 8 days after,

email 5, 10 days after... and so on.

Is this how this would be done?

Or is there a better way to do this?

Sorry, I know I am confusing the hell out of some of you guys. I apologize. I am sure as you can tell list building is not my strong suit.

At the end, I guess what I am asking is that is "Follow up Series" the only easier and more manageable option here, or can this be done through sending blog broadcasts (as they become available) without having to literally keep track of what every subscriber has and has not gotten?

I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

I would be sending out a series, personally. Every new subscriber gets the followup emails and you can augment the series when needed as more blog posts are created.

Create a new series if you want the series to change. Or start a new list periodically?
