INTERNET MARKETING

If you are sending paid traffic to a page would you send it directly to a free opt in offer or would you send it to a sales page?

I'm currently sending my traffic to a sales page and then have an exit pop up offering my free opt in.

Which way would you go with this?

I would add a squeeze page and send traffic to it, and once they opt-in i would redirected them through sales page. This way you can still earn money from people that don't buy the product, by sending them different emails.

I did think that I was probably losing long term sales in the hope of short term gain with going sales page first. Thanks for affirming this

You're on the right track.

2 things that come to mind

If you don't have a good sales funnel in place, make sure you put some focus there. It can take a barely profitable site to very profitable rather quickly. Also, if you are not already doing so, make sure you are tracking and split testing your paid traffic campaigns (keywords, ads, landing pages, etc..

Hi,

Do BOTH!

Send them to a squeeze page first and then have the "Exit Pop"
in place that may point to another offer/sales funnel etc.

Cover all angles and leave no holes un-plugged in your funnel.
