Article Marketing Questions

I work hard and I've been working hard at IM for about 4 months. But I'm pretty new to the idea of article marketing. Most of my learning has been spent on SEO, keyword research and website development for adsense.

I have signed up with a few aff networks so I've got products to sell.

I think article marketing is a good next step for me. I don't have a lot of disposable income but I've got tons of time. My personal goal is to make $50 a day. After that I will have enough to invest in PPC. I'm also in the process of developing a product to sell using that PPC traffic.

I can slam though articles. I write one in 15 mins (sometimes i need a bit of research time) and rewrite in 10.

But I was wondering if you good folks could give me some insight into your thought process when your going though your article marketing process.

I'd also be interested to know what qualities a good article marketing niche should have. I'd like to decrease my risk of choosing niches are unlikely to work out.

I'm great with keyword research so that's no problem for me.

I'd also be interested in hearing any reasonable timelines on how long it took you successful article marketers to reach $50/day so I can set myself some reasonable and achieveble goals.
