Affiliate link techniques. Obvious or Subtle?

I'm about to re-launch my book on kindle and I'd like to know whether I should make the affiliate links that I'll be inserting into the book obvious or subtle. Also, should I put a reference page at the beginning and/or end of the book with all of the affiliate links on that page (since some people don't end up reading the whole book). I'd really appreciate your input.

Thanks in advance

I think , in books, your probably better off making them obviouse and tell the readers they are aff links. But it depends what niche your in.

If you're recommending a product, make it obvious. Tell them why you support the product, and that you receive a commission for each sale that is generated. You'd be surprised how responsive people are to transparency.

One more vote for obvious. Be clear, honest and up front. Most people realize what a great deal kindle books are in the first place and aren't shocked to find links in them. Its just nice (as a reader) when the author has the integrity to be up front about it.

I have many affiliaters add the affiliate discount link directly in the YouTube video description area, if the viewers looking for similar products, they will surely use the obvious discount link after they made their decision. So to be honesty, obvious link is better and I personally do not like hide link, it makes me feel bad.

Make it obvious. And use them sparingly. Otherwise readers will think your ebook is just a way to promote affiliates.

Also, don't include any Amazon affilate links, as they don't allow them in Kindle ebooks. Read their TOS carefully.

In information books I would make sure the links were known affiliate links, if it is a random kindle e-book you can make them subtle.
