Hi, I heard some people creating the websites, adding some content, doing SEO,etc and selling back for some 4-5figure easily. I too have a website which is brand new(5months) with alexarank around 200000. I just added few contents only but its moving fast from 12millionalexarank to 200000 alexarank. I want to put my effort and bring the website to rank 50000 and sell it. If My website is 50000means How much can I sell it? Is there any formula or something to measure the value of the website.? Please share your ideas. Also Please tell your success If you do the same.
Note: I still didnt montise it.

    What?

You're basing how much you can sell a site, on an alexa rating? That's insane. If the site isn't making money, you probably won't make any on your attempts to sell it either.

The 4-5 figure range is way off too... only extremely good sites pull in the 4+ figures. Sites making a little money go for a couple hundred.

Making good sites and making money by selling them depends on:

      1. Good Niche
      2. Good contents
      3. Quality SEO
      4. List on Google top
      5. If the niche started making money you can sell it in double rate.

Start with selling sites in 3 figures and you will grow on consistently.

      Best of Luck

First of all people will only be interested in your website if your website is making money already or has the potential to make money. So make sure your website has stable revenue for past 3/6 months. Once you achieve that you can list your website on Digitalpoint marketplace to get offers from interested people.

Things are not that easy. To sell a website for 4-5 figures, you must create a website which is worthy of that price. People are not that fool to giveaway money for anything.

It isn't as easy as build a site, put content, drive traffic and sell it on flippa for example.

You must provide value, a profesional design, a unique and HQ content and provide revenue proofs before you can sell it and earn a good amount.

I know people selling PLR blogs at $100 but...they have 3000 positive feedbacks etc....not as easy as sounds, sorry (and of course, not cheap)

Before you think about selling a website focus on improving traffic and monetizing the website. No one will want to buy a website that does not make money. Once the website is making a decent amount of cash, try to sell it on Flippa.

On Flippa you will find many examples of websites that were sold in the 4 figure range (and very few in the 5 figure range) without making a single cent.

There are 2 ways to sell on Flippa.

      1. Based on money.
If your website makes money, you can expect to sell it around x10 of your average monthly income and you must provide proof of income for the 3 last months.

      2. Based on potential and value.
If you can’t figure out how to make decent money with your website, you have to sell the potential and value that your website has.
You must provide facts about the traffic that keeps getting bigger day by day, you must show off your quality content, you must provide a beautiful layout etc. Also give away as bonus social pages associated with your website. If you have a facebook page and a twitter account with a lot of active and real followers it helps. Also the URL itself can add value. Is it aged? Does it have PR? Is it “brandable” or keyword rich?
You don’t want to deceive people. You want to sell them something that actually has potential and value. And if you provide real potential and value, people will see it and buy in most cases.

In order to sell a website for good money you should have:
    Good design
A valuable niche that is in search with a good domain name
    Good quality content
    Good SEO
    Good constant traffic
    Website age may vary.

You can find free tools when you type in your search engine website value checker or similar key phrases. It will show you how worth is your website and the value. But generally they give you a high value where it will be hard to sell for the mentioned price. But again all depends on your website quality.

GoDaddy has an auction for selling and buying domains or websites. But unfortunately it's paid.
The important is to find where to sell your website. There is always customer for every kind of product. Try searching for platforms where you can list it for free your website for sale.

Depends on industry, revenue and where traffic is coming from as well.
I know of sites highly ranked on Google, Alexa and they make no revenue as it is not a commercial niche.
