Writers For Articles?

Hi

Where do you go to hire writers for articles?

How much is normal to pay?

Do you hire one fixed writer or various writers for one blog?

Thanks

- Jay

    Hi Jay,

Some options to consider, odesk.com, iwriter.com and elance.com.

Rate depends on the # of words per article.

Try odesk ,elance ,fiverr you will get some good writers there

For rate : It depends on various factors like

      Word count

      Writing Style

      Expertise level of writers

      Niche you are targeting

I guess you must go with variety of writers rather than one writer ,this way you can get an experience of hiring right workers

    Hey Jay,

Additionally you could check out the warriors for hire section of this forum. Lot of writers available.
As to your other question, the # of writers really depends on the topic(s) of your blog. If it's a pretty specific niche, one writer should do. But if you have fairly different topics out there and you're looking for authoritative content, you could consider more than 1 writer.

Now that said, most writers doing this for money are pretty good at research so unless your topic is so specialized it requires a phd to write about it with authority, I'd say keep things simply in the hiring process.

  • Don't bother hiring ten people, just get one really good writer will do. Check forums under the hiring section for professional writers and look at all the samples provided. When you find one really good writer who has the style you want for your site, hire that person on a per article basis and retain their services for as long as possible. Most writers will keep producing work, so long as you are consistent about payment and don't critique too heavily.

Like some of the others have mentioned, the "Warriors for Hire" section is a great start. Or, if you know a colleague who's hired a writer before, see who he recommends.

You'll get about a million different answers to this, but I would suggest thinking in terms of time. A 400 or 500 word article will probably take an hour (at least) to research, write, and proofread properly. So, if you're looking for content at that length, whatever you pay someone is going to be their hourly rate.

Would YOU work for $3 or $5 per hour? No? Neither will your writer! Instead, he'll work as fast as he can so that he can crank out as many articles as he can. That way, he makes a livable wage. For you, though, it means getting content that is more fluff than facts, has silly spelling and grammar issues, and isn't as overall polished as it should be.

Once you find a writer you like, stick with him. After all, your blog needs to have its own unique "voice". If you have 10 different people writing for it, none of the posts will look consistent -- at least, not without some major editing time on your end!

      !
Very true. Although as I always say, cheap does not mean crap all the time, good writers who work cheap will easily get burnt out writing 10 articles per day just to earn $30, so shortcuts will have to be made. Those who get paid better will have a bit more time on their hands to produce topnotch content that has been researched well.

Fiverr for quick cheap articles. Depends on who you get on fiverr.

I write articles on Fiverr and price depends on length basically.
From 5-20 an article or so. The main thing is I would find one person that you like and use them over and over, or your blog posts will sound like they are written in many different voices, not really connected.

You can hire them right here on WaFo.

Not sure if I'm allowed to make specific recommendations in the thread, but if you want to private message me I can suggest one that I've worked with for many years. He's reliable and a great writer.

The Warriors for Hire Section is the BEST option because you will find people who have already developed reputations here that can be checked if necessary.

Don't forget SEOClerks.com. It is fast becoming the site of choice for all web related outsourcing.

Unlike what most people believe, the WF is NOT the best place to hire writers. If you even take a look at most of writers' sales threads, you'll understand what I mean.

The truth is, if you want the best, just search "freelance writer <your niche>" on Google. You'll get a writer there you specializes exactly in your needs.

You'll also find a lot of writers (like myself) commenting on threads like these, because we're a shameless, self-promotional bunch.

There is no norm. Until Internet marketers came along, nobody ever heard of writing for dirt cheap prices like $5/500 words.

It all depends on what you want. I suspect that you probably won't want to go above $2/100 words, correct?

If so, most of what you'll get is crap. Short 'n simple. (anytime now, some guy called WriteAway will appear on this thread and dispute that)

Quality writers will usually market themselves for prices in excess of $4-$5/100 words. As my signature states, Warriors can't afford me simply because Internet marketers want the world handed to them on a silver platter for $10, and I don't do silver platters for ten bucks apiece.

Of the people who hire me, most of them hire various writers, but they have lots of seed capital and also have been in the IM game for quite some time. It all depends on what you want.

A lot of that post was shameless self-promotion, but you might find a bit of good advice in there.

    B.S.

For a simple reason: their "testimonials" were from free review copies. I scratch my back, you scratch mine kinda thing.

oDesk and elance have gathered. Again they seem to work separately but thewy are together. These sites are very good for hiring writers or if you have abilities you also can turn it into cash.

But I would suggest you fiverr, where the cost is 5$ which is really valuable and good price. Just before proceeding checkout the ratings of the person you are willing to order and their review.
There is also onedollarr.com site which is same as fiverr only difference is that everything is for 1$.

When it comes to writing you definitely get what you pay for, that's for sure.

Whatever you do though if/when you find a good quality writer (good ROI) DO NOT LET THEM GO! lol

I mean if you spend $80 bucks on a piece of content but your ROI is double that, at that point price is not a concern, it's "How long can I keep this writer working WITH me!" and "Please stay healthy!"

I'm having my own team of native speaker articles. Price is $2/100 words. If you are interested - PM me.

If you are looking for quality content, don't go for anything that sells for below $1,5/100 words. No native speaker would ever write at these rates.
