Motion Graphics Video Marketing - What do YOU think?

Warriors,

After finally jumping into video creation, I have started creating a series of those really clean looking motion graphics videos. I have created a 'teaser' one for the War Room and kept it simple (sample images). The video is located below:

Small Business Marketing, Consulting - Armitage Consulting - Syracuse, New York

Now, is there a market for this on Warrior (possibly a WSO) and would you, as a warrior, be interested in something like this for your site, product, etc?

Thanks!

    Hi Eric,

It's nice - Depending on the price I'd certainly be interested in some.

I think people would buy this kind of stuff. I have my own in house video people so I personally wouldn't.

    Well done!

    Hey Eric,
Those are some cool videos you have there.
Yep, I would be interested and can see the potential interest since these are "not" the ordinarily video stuff usually seen.

      Excellent video!

Now if you can team up with someone to upload a finished video to all the video sharing sites - there must be hundreds of them - then you have a WSO and a paying business for a long time.

Video is the way to go, people like to be entertained and a 'soft sell' along with it does no harm.

      Tony.

    Eric:

I like what you've done, however I likely wouldn't be interested in purchasing any for promotional purposes. The reason is that I feel narrated videos are MUCH more effective at converting to sales -- in fact, my testing tells me that they are HUGELY more effective.

The quality of your work, however, is great.

    JMHO...

I agree, I really enjoy the way this stuff looks - but whooshing big words
often don't say very much. This is AfterEffects right? A lot of people are
jumping into the big, rushing, whooshing words game and pretty soon
every other website launch is gonna look like anticipatory hype for the
      next "Terminator" movie.

Still - very cool looking and will probably be worth putting out a package
because marketers will want to test these things.

I agree with Loren and Steven. I mean, no doubt people would love to buy this from you, but the problem is they would probably be buying something that won't make them more money. People are drawn to cool looking things, but the reality is that is probably the wrong way to present what you're offering.

In stead, I personally would be very much interested in video creation services that make my "presentations" look more professional. For example, I love how John Reese creates his new videos. The production is high quality, but it's made just to support the presentation.

    Take care,

    ~Davor

I think a good use of these type of effects are for intro-and-exits and transitions for video series. Keep them short and in theme - they could add a lot of professionalism to your regular camtasia productions (for example).

Nice job on the video tech to showcase the possibilities.

Marty, that's exactly what I was thinking! I offer video intros, and let me tell you, they add SOOOOO much professionalism you wouldn't believe it - D'ya know what else works a charm - Lower thirds!

When you are there giving your customers a review or a technique, a lower third goes a HUUUGE way to make it seem very pro indeed!

        Great minds think alike, eh?

    Thanks teamfire!

I think there are alot of different uses for the videos as well. Not necessarily just a long 30 second spot, but intros, exits, and transitions to integrate into existing or "traditional" IM videos -- Reviews, testimonials, etc.

Looks like alot more marketers are using (or testing for that matter) this style of media to introduce a product. If anything, it might compel the user to opt-in if it strikes an emotional 'lets do it now' chord..

    Hi Eric:

    Thanks for the videos.

Here is something you may not be aware of - Google does not allow competing video sites to advertise on adwords.

    Online Video Sites
Advertisements are not permitted for other online video websites, or sites similar to YouTube that allow users to upload, watch and share original videos via the Web.
