Posting to someone else's e-mail list?

Anybody know of anyway to get an owner to let you post to there list? Any products out there that explain the process? How do you find lists that you can contact the owner and ask? I'm thinking of offering some kind of report to the owner to allow me to post, but need to know where to start with it.

What you are looking for is a 'solo ad'
Normally costs around $60 per hundred clicks and quite frankly is generally not worth doing (imho)

It sounds an awful lot like you're talking about buying solo ads...

If so, Safe Swap is one the best places to find solo ads to buy: Ad swaps, sell solo and buy solo mailings - Safe-Swaps

Other than that, you may try typing into your search engine "you niche" + "solo ads" and see what you come up with.

With solo ads, always check out the testimonials & recommendations to ensure it's a reputable seller.

Contact the owner and see if you can pay them. Or if you have a list yourself, consider a swap.

Are you referring to "paid solos"? If thats the case you can google search the keywords in your niche and then just scroll through and contact the webowners asking if they will do a mailing for you. Look at the bottom of the page in the footer for contact information. Also look for something that says "advertising" and if you see that click on that first and read what they have. You can still send the email if you want.

What you will need is a list of solo vendors who will do a solo email for you. You pay them a certain amount of money and they send just your email alone to their subsciber base. Note that you need to have a converting web page for one and the second thing is a good email list. Both can take a testing or optimizing process so if you don't quit break even on the first run don't sweat it too much....

  • Solo ads were once commonly used. And, though they could be very effective, assuming you are actually dealing with a massive email list of targeted subscribers, the return might not be so high. There is always a risk. If you feel you can shoulder the risk, you can usually contact a site owner directly and ask about advertising rates for a solo ad that will be sent to their email list. Prepare your best offer to present to the email list, maybe even something which captures names/email addresses. By going for the email address, you are guaranteeing that you have the right to contact these people later on, at no further cost.

And, even if you don't want to just give something away, but are looking to sell a product, then at least put your best give away to subscribe offer on the 'thank you' page, so those people who are buying will also be subscribed to a special email list and receptive to more offers. After all, the best time to make a sale, (even if that sale is just convincing them to sign up to your list) is right after you made the last one, as the person is already in the buying mood. This applies to any internet marketing situation or niche.

  • If you also have a list yourself then do an ad swap with another list owner where you send their offer to your list and they send your offer to theirs.

If you don't have a list them buy solo ads from reputable vendors..

In either case SafeSwaps could be used to achieve both.

What you're talking about is Solo Ads.

Go to the ''Search Button'' and type in solo ads and you'll get a plethora of people offering exactly what you're looking for.

Depending on what niche you're in make some contact and see that person has the list you're looking for.
