I'm just getting back into IM, and am REALLY starting to wonder - how much is too much? The product I am promoting, I KNOW is a great seller, and a great niche. I've sold it before, and have had no refunds. 5 blogs, lenses, hubpages. Keyword optimized for one product with different keywords. URL submissions, pings, bookmarking, RSS submissions. - all of that done, over the past few days. NOW the questions... how many articles would you write (and submit to the top directories) for each page? 1 or 2, or 10-20? or more? ![]() Are these enough pages, or do I need more? I don't want to keep spending 5-10 hours days on one thing, if I really should be moving onto something else! Please help, I am at a loss right now. Should I keep article writing for this product, or should I start another series of pages, etc. now, and see how they do? Thank you in advance for your help! ~Haze |

Are you building a list and marketing to them? That is a good way to get repeat sales and customers. Anyways, what is important is not only the number of articles daily, but the number of article directories that we submit to. I would say 10 articles daily to 20 directories should bring in good results. Remember to outsource once you start seeing good profits! Hope that helps..

Why are you building stuff for people to come to rather than getting your message to where people are? It seems like you're working a 'hit and hope' method where you have no idea what the results will be or how long it'll take to make money. Makes me wonder why you've chosen that way to do it? Andy |

| Lady NaNa, I didn't start my list yet, until I'm sure this will work. I think I did that part backwards, I will get an opt-in bo on those today, thank you. WOW, that's a LOT of articles, I was WAY off in my thinking!oh, I have also started going to forums, and found a ton of unanswered questions. That is why I'm trying to do this right - the first time! Andy, I'm building backlinks for SEO. this is how I got my old site from 8 million+ to 1 million, on alexa, in about 3 weeks. That's what we're supposed to do, right? This is what I'm doing: Have domain and site. Have 5 blogger pages. 5 squidoo lenses 5 hubpages blogger 1, squidoo 1 and hub 1 all build for the same keyword. All linked together, and linked to my main site. This is for organic SEO. I DO know what I'm doing there, but I am back into this after a few years, and am STILL trying to catch up on the changes. Submitted URL of each, to the major search engines, pinged, bookmarked, twittered, etc. I think I'm just way off on the articles I'm getting out. Thank you so much for your responses, they are GREATLY appreciated! ~Haze |

Getting organic traffic is something you don't control (yes, you can do what 'should' help, but there are no guarantees). Would you start an offline business and say 'I'm going to advertise in Yellow Pages and just see if I get enough customers to stay in business'? No.... Of course not. IMHO you should have a more robust marketing strategy and have the SEO as a supporting thing which just adds to what should already be a business that makes sense. Andy | |

Thanks, Andy. I never looked at it that way. I always thought that, online, SEO came first. I do have a plan, but now I will make another one, seeing as I got things a bit mixed up. ~Haze |

| SEO is definitely a more long term practice. Why worry about your rankings, when you could be out looking for customers to pay you right now. Go out and get your first few, the rest will come with patience and consistent action. |

I believe Andy is talking about either 1) getting paid traffic, 2) going to a central site where your prospects gather for discussion and building up a reputation there, or 3) gathering affiliates for your product. And he's right... any (or all) of those should come before SEO... SEO is a fickle mistress that should be used as a bonus to an already stable traffic flow from other sources. And before doing any of *that*, make sure your value offer is good enough that people will be willing to sign on to a list to keep up to date on it... and give them a way to do so. |

You could also use the WSO section to find people to create a lot of high PR backlinks for you, some of the guys there are doing an excellent service and deserve to be supported in what they do for Warriors. You may find soon enough you are getting a lot of 'organic' traffic from Google and friends from doing just backlinks alone! ![]() Tony |

Thank you, everyone! Ok, let me see if I have this right yet..... #1: just concentrate on getting ONE main site. #2: get opt-in form on there #3: join related forums, answer questions #4: get articles out and submitted (I won't do PPC anymore, almost lost my house on that!) I have been worrying about SEO, and I SHOULD have been worrying about getting targeted traffic? Am I right this time? I'm sorry if I'm not, I'm just trying to get it RIGHT. PS) it's not MY product this time, I'm affiliating. |
