How to expend Niche? (Keyword Research)

Hi, I am a newbie to internet marketing. My niche is public speaking. Did keyword research on everything possible but still could not find an area where there is low competition with high hits. Is there anyway I can know related keywords that I could target? Seems that I can't even do affiliate marketing on this area in click bank (Products are few and with zero gravity).

Is that to say I abandon this and try something else instead?

Any suggestions by fellow warriors would help

    Not every niche has keywords with low competition. Public speaking is quite lucrative and there is an abundance of people offering it.

    The better approach for that market would be to write a book and promote that book and then find customers for speaking engagements among your readers.

    Actually if you want to pursue a career in public speaking and do not have a book published you will have an uphill battle.

    Google is not the only source of traffic.

    Are there lots of websites, blogs, forums and social media groups / pages / people with large followings on FB, Twitter, Linked In, G+ etc?

    If there are then you don't need Google. You can drive traffic via guest posting, blog commenting, content syndication, video marketing, being active on social media etc.
