Solo Ad / Business Question

Most solo ads in the Internet Marketing space go to squeeze pages, since that's what the lists are used for.

You should be able to use solos for this, but you will need to find sellers who have lists related to your niche.

I'm sure a quick search or two will show you how to do so. It may require a bit of prospecting. On the plus side the quality of the subscribers is likely to be quite a bit higher.

To answer in a single word, no. I'm sure you'll find plenty of sellers that will tell you their lists would be responsive but don't believe it. MMO is MMO and there is little, if any crossover to personal development.

What I'd suggest is you do a search for self help, LOA, hypnosis and other related markets and look for people publishing newsletters and ezines that do relate to your market. You'll find plenty that will sell you ad space in their publications. But don't expect the silly "done for you" shtick with swipes and guaranteed clicks and all the rest of the mumbo jumbo. That's purely an invention of the MMO marketers.

If it is not in IM I would not use solo ads. Check out Mailing List Finder -- Search & Compare Mailing Lists you can find list brokers in absolutely any niche.

Though most of the more easily booked solo ads are in IM/MMO, there ARE in fact solo ad providers in the Health Niche, Self-Improvement niche, etc. So with a little searching you may find something that suits your needs.

In fact, I recall seeing a seller on WF who had a health niche list for which he was selling ads. Think about how popular the health and self improvement niches are. There are certainly folks with big lists in those areas who are willing to sell solo ads.

you can right a free self improvement report. and use a squeeze page specifically for mmo traffic with a headline like:

"7 Unfair Advantages Successful Marketers Possess - Now yours FREE"

but im also pretty sure there are tons of self improvement/motivational lists out there you can buy a solo ad from.

If you can find a solo ad seller with a related niche list yes! why not? but normally the lists are in the IM, Health, Dating, Financal, Forex Niches.

Try to drive traffic from other sources (you can do it for free!!) and wil be "fresh traffic" and not "burned traffic".

You can find out a lot of sites for sending solo ads. You also can do it for free. But you require to surf others sites to earn credits than submit yours. And generally this works but the conversion rate is very low. Because most of them are only surfing to earn points and not looking at the website. If your niche is attractive than your conversion rate may be higher. But according to me people generally come there to drive traffic not to spend money which is not very valuable. And with paid solos you can send out to more people your ads where they have partner sites and deliver to them also. I think instead it would be better if you can find some people related to your niche where they have a list of already interested people. You can pay to them to send your ad. The conversion rate will be 10 times higher because they are already interested people into your niche.

What's up guys…? I was reading some threads on the forum and I stumbled upon this, and like solo ads is one of my areas of expertise I decided to chime in.

Well, I'm with all the people here that says that solo ad vendors are mostly in the IM niche, or to be more precise in the make money online niche.

Still, I wouldn't discard the idea to give it a shot… Why? Well, because if you think about it, people who are looking to make money online aren't there just there for the money…

I know this because I've talked on the phone with over 500 people about their problems… money problems, and usually it's not the money… the money it's only a mean to an end.

So, my take on this is that you before you jump in head-first and buy a solo ad, you should have a clear understanding of what people in the IM niche really want.

And again, it's not the money.

This forum is a very good place to start your research because here we talk about money, but you can browse other forums about people who don't have a job, or that recently lost theirs, or that depend on the government, or that are close to bankruptcy… You see where I'm going, right?

And then use that information to create a solution based on your expertise as a Hypnotherapist and show them how you can help them to get out of their seemingly hopeless situation…

After that you create a squeeze page with a big headline stating their main problem and how you're going to solve it, capture some leads, and then you take it from there…

The angle I recommend is that they have already tried everything under the sun and nothing has worked so far…

I can't guarantee this is going to work, but from my years of experience I can tell you that what moves people is not just the money, but you need to find out what it is and how you can fit your offer to those needs.
