Does anyone ever use the RSS button found on websites?

Hi

I am interested to know if many of you ever use the RSS button on a website.

Me personally, I never use it to keep informed with certain websites and I wonder if its pointless ever adding the RSS button to a website when creating one.

What are your thoughts Warriors.

On average I don't but I have one client who has a slightly older, well heeled following but are not extremely tech savvy and they still use it. RSS for me is used more for automating things than it is for people actually signing up.

I never use it. If I want to re-visit a website I either subscribe to the email list or bookmark the page. I am sure a lot of people out there still use it so don't get rid of it just yet.

Yeah - i use the RSS feed to automate my auto-responder emails. So each week i have 2 that automaticaly go out to my lists... 1 is the previous weeks posts and also i have an email auto generated from my e-com store that sends out all recent new products... saves a LOAD of time (in fact i just need to check the open rates etc!).

Personally, no. Don't use RSS to read stuff. Though many people will so do use it on my WordPress sites to give the reader the option. User friendly and all that.

I have to say having read the comments so far that it does not seem a popular option the RSS but quite possibly a lot of people still use it.

As TimothyTorrents says, either bookmark the page or subscribe to its email list rather than the RSS feed.
