Best 301 Redirect Method??

Hi all, what is the best 301 redirect method?

Have new website and want everyone who visits old URL to be directed to new website.

1) Redirect old domain to new by using redirect option at old domain registrar?

2) Use a wordpress 301 redirect plugin on old domain to send to new?

3) Add javascript code to old domain so visitors are redirected to new domain?

    As both a static website and WordPress pro, I'd say either your #1 or #2.
    The WordPress "Redirection" plugin is my favorite. It logs page errors so you can track what needs to be redirected and that you might otherwise be unaware of.

    Use it with your Google Webmaster Tools account to fix errors which Google finds.
